Premature labour? fetel fibronectin test

Anyone else had this test done. I'm 31 weeks and thought I was going into early labour last night. Test came back low positive, around 8% chance of going into early labour. Pains stopped and was let out late last night. Still not sure what happens, was it Braxton hicks? Could I still go into premature labour? Xx

It's truly scary isn't it, I'm only being released from hospital later today, so long as my twins continue to behave themselves for the next hours. It's been classed as threatened labour for me as the contractions I was getting we're very painful and initially regular, every 10mins, so not like the usual only uncomfortable, irregular Braxton Hicks.

They have simply said to me that my risks of pre-term are increased, but it's like the lottery, just because you but the ticket it doesn't guarantee it will happen, you have simply just got an increased chance. So I could still reach my 38wk goal but should be prepared for otherwise too, just in case

Was this actual contractions or Braxton hicks?

I had a poss one at 31 weeks, had to stay in and have two lots of steroids and meds to stop pre term labour.
Turns out my baby had to be induced exactly at 38 weeks due to blood pressure.
They are a guide, I was told that if it's neg test you have 1% chance of going into preterm labour.
If it's a poss test then you have a higher chance of pre term labour but it might still not happen.
It just helps sorts out the woman who need steroids,treatment ect to those who don't so means less woman are having meds that they don't really need.
