Yes they look fab, and was comfortable and easy to push around in Mothercare but what a price!! Tried some cheaper alternatives in store which were definitely no as comfortable to push.

I've gone for the Uppababy Vista 2015. I tried both and was impressed with Vista carrycot, basket size, fact it can accommodate a 2nd child and it was great value for money. I also checked out iCandy and Joolz. I'm due in a few weeks and the huge UV sunshade for the carrycot seems like a real plus for a summer baby.

I had a cam and got rid of it for a vista when the 2012 model came out. Wouldn't even consider going back, the uppababy is much better. Vista now have 2015 model but haven't seen how it's changed yet

I love mine - looking forward to using it again for baby number 2.

We have a cameleon from 7 years ago, so whatever model that is. We could never fault it apart from being a bit tricky for grandma to fold down! And the brake was a but tight. Small details really when you consider how awful many other buggies are. You'll spend a lot of time pushing one around so you may as well get a decent one. Ours was ex display so got 20% off I think. Still expensive but worth every penny! Recently fished it out of the attic for baby no 2 and it's cleaned up like new. Amazing.

As a nanny I have used SO MANY buggies (though not the uppababy vista) and absolutely love the Chameleon. I love getting into town (central London) with the kids I look after and I find the Chameleon such a workhorse. I want to have 2 dc's close together and have told DH when I get pregnant with our first we will be getting the Donkey.

I haven't had one for work but I do love the look of the Joolz buggies too!

I'm a maternity nurse and used just about used every pram on the market.

I really don't like the chameleon, I find it heavy even with a newborn, tyres can easily go flat, it expensive and the two piece fold is a nightmare especially if dealing with it in the rain or traveling. I do like the bee for central London living. And I really like the buffalo.

My favourite is the uppababy especially the 2015 version as can have a versatile toddler seat as well. It's light, easy to push, carry cot is suitable for nights, has good sun shade built in and the babies look so comfortable. It would be my top choice but may not be in our budget.

We went pram shopping yesterday at mothercare and quite like the look of the joie chrome.

HazleNutt · 24/05/2015 14:14

Odd people say it's heavy - Chameleon weighs 9,6 kilos while Uppababy vista is 12,5

Twodogsandahooch · 24/05/2015 14:18

No! I bought a 2nd hand Cameleon and didn't get on with it at all. I hated the slightly wobbly handlebar (wasn't a fault with mine as everyone I have tested since has the same give). I found it really difficult to go down kerbs with and the two piece fold was a pain.

Babyjogger or mountain buggy all the way.

ovumahead · 24/05/2015 15:20

I wouldn't get an uppababy simply because the toddler bit is always outward facing. Bugaboo you can have either way - good for when you have a grumpy, tired toddler who needs lots of reassurance!

mrswishywashy · 24/05/2015 15:23

Maybe the right word is not heavy. Um, I think I find it unfriendly to push like the balance is off. The long ago frog didn't have the same issue.

I've used the uppababy seat with a six month old and it could face the adult. At what age does it need to face outward?

I loved my cameleon. So easy to push and manoeuvre! The only downside as many already mentioned is two piece fold but otherwise perfect buggy.

WorldsBiggestGrotbag · 24/05/2015 16:43

Ovuma the toddler seat on the uppababy can be parent facing or outward facing. Got mine in 2013 and 18 month old DD still faces me sometimes.

WorldsBiggestGrotbag · 24/05/2015 16:46

mrs it can face you as long as you want!

Popsicle30 · 24/05/2015 16:54

I love my uppababy. Been using it now for 4 months and it's a joy to push. The pram is a lovely size and fantastic quality. The basket underneath fits loads of shopping.

The fact it comes with lots of accessories at no extra cost makes it a winner. Raincovers for both pram and toddler seat, baby seat adapters, insect nets and fitted UV shades etc. The UV shades are great and just slide down when needed. No silly umbrella blowing all over the place.

Toddler seat can face both ways so not correct what is mentioned above.

Definitely recommend.

Good luck deciding

mrswishywashy · 24/05/2015 18:14

Worlds - I was a little confused as have only used it parent facing, I feel it handles better than the chameleon. Wish it was in my budget.

WorldsBiggestGrotbag · 24/05/2015 19:48

Have you looked at second hand ones mrswishy? It is a fab pram and the 2015 model is even better.

mrswishywashy · 24/05/2015 20:53

Yes was just on eBay. May check with partner to see if we should keep an eye out for one. I love it, it's so easy to use and great to push and babies look so comfortable.
