Hi ladies, I had a misscarriage in January at 7weeks. Was completely devastated but I have just found out that we are pregnant again Smile only around 5weeks so keeping it to our selfs as we don't feel we can be happy yet because of our previous loss. But I am currently having pain in my left ovary not bad or constant but when I get up out of a chair or when I'm on the toilet. Looked online and points towards ectopic pregnancy!! Is anybody else is this situation. As we are keeping it to our selfs I have nobody to speak to! Xx

Hi, maybe phone up the EPU and go in for a scan? That's the only way to know for sure I think.

I did have twinges in what felt like ovaries very early on too. They were not extremely painful and were gone soon so I didn't bother, but to put your mind to rest I think you should get it checked, good luck! And congrats on your pregnancy!

I also had pain on only one side for a good couple of weeks during early pregnancy. I spoke to EPU and they booked me in for an early scan to make sure baby was OK as I too had a miscarriage during my previous pregnancy. Luckily all was well and they said it was probably my ovaries getting prepared for the pregnancy as they are obviously not used for a good few months! I'm 20 weeks now and still get sharp or sudden pains when I get up suddenly as lots of woman do during pregnancy. They will want to see you though as the pain is only on one side. Please try not to worry too much, this is very common x

Natasha I've had the same symptoms, and when called the GP they sent me to EPU for a scan to rule out an ectopic pregnancy. I think it'd be sensible for you to give the GP a call just in case. In my case they saw that the pregnancy was in the right place with a little heartbeat, so it was nice and reassuring.
