I am 25 weeks and feeling really knackered. Didn't sleep a wink last night due to sore head and throwing up.

I'm a primary school teacher and feel enormously guilty any time I have a day off...I know I should be thinking about my health but it's hard not to feel like a bad person for missing work.

It's completely irrational as the head at my school is wonderfully supportive and really sweet.

Aww feel sorry you haven't had a response. I was at work but wish i'd stayed at home. You should just embrace the odd day off and I hope you truely relaxed in comfy clothes and snuggled on the sofa. I bet baby was relaxed and you wouldn't have been like that at work so throw the guilt away! Just keep a check if you're calling in sick all the time and talk to your boss so they can understand, but sounds like they do.

And do you feel better anyway?

I'm also a primary school teacher so understand what you mean about having a day off.... I feel guilty needing an hour or so off for midwife appointments! I'm 33 weeks and finding it very hard, wish I could have phoned in sick today- I'm exhausted!! X

I'm a Primary teacher too (DHT) and totally understand where you're coming from! I worked up to 39 weeks with my first DD when I was a class teacher and looking back, I have no idea how I did it! Teaching 4 and 5 year olds is exhausting at the best of times! Hope you're feeling better soon. You and your baby come first :)
