Snuzpod, Angel Care Monitor and Respisense

Hi All

I am really keen to get a Snuzpod. I am also really keen to get a movement monitor but I have read conflicting info about whether the two are compatible due to the solid space needed and space for wires. Has anyone used both together?

Also I just saw a RespiSense monitor which you clip to the nappy - does anyone have any experience of this? Or is this monitoring experience too far!

We used the Snuzpod and Angelcare movement monitor together, no problems. Well thankfully the monitor was never needed if you see what I mean, but everything appeared to be in working order.

We ha an angel care for our first foster baby and used it on its own, but even on the least sensitive setting it would go off when she did that 'big breath-hold it-siiiiiigh' thing, so be prepared!

Thanks Luna - did you have to adapt the Snuzpod at all - people have mentioned having to cut holes for the wires?

I used a respisense with my DCs. I liked the fact that it was portable and could be used anywhere. We did have a few false alarms with it- if the nappy is loose it doesn't press against the tummy enough to monitor breathing or it can come loose if baby is wriggling a lot.

But it once went off when it was correctly placed and tight enough. When I got to my DD she was just taking a big gasping breath. I don't think that one was a false alarm. I would definitely recommend it.

Didn't have to do anything special about the wires, I can't remember how we threaded it through but it wasn't a problem. We did get an occasional false alarm but that still happens in his cot.
