Upper Stomach cramps

Tonight I had ramen soup complete with the soft boiled seasoned egg (i follow Emily Oster's advice on food) in a high end place.(it looked nice and clean and tasted fresh). I went to bed at 11pm. I woke up at 2 am with sharp hunger pains. Ithought I might be dehydrated so had tap water.

I have been wriggling in pain with uppwr stomach cramps which are reminiscent of the pain I felt when I had an ulcer.

the thing that fixes me the quickest normally is Buscopan but NHS website says to only take if a doctor prescribes it.

I am miserable and in pain and so exhausted. Is any awake and has an amazing suggestion?

I'm 6+5. No other symptoms other than bloating. No vomitting No diarrhoea.

Could be trapped wind or Indigestion. Pregnancy can cause issues with foods that don't normally affect you.

Drinking warm water helps or peppermint tea. Also stock up on some rennies and rennies deflatine for future.

Hope you feel better

So Rennies are allowed? I managed to sleep one more hour just now. It's so frustrating to know exactly what would fix me (Buscopan) and not be allowed it.

The muscle around the lining of my stomach are cramping, it is extremely painful.

Thanks for the tip.

Rennies and Gaviscon are allowed. I relied on rennies deflatine in the first trimester for trapped wind. Then normal orange rennies for most of the second and third trimester for Heartburn and indigestion. I keep them by my bed :)

I got myself to boots. The pharmacist confirmed no Buscopan so I have a bottle of Gaviscon. He was also able to confirm that prescription only medicine like buscopan does exist and is available to pregnant women. I think if it doesn't go away I will see a GP (on a Saturday in London bwahahah) and get the good stuff.

Fingers crossed it works :D I agree though, buscopan is far better
