Did your baby move much at 11 week scan?

Have a bad history and I am worried the baby was not wriggling around, just still. This happened in previous pregnancy with bad outcome. Thank you.

Thank you. That's reassuring. Hoping so much it's ok. Good luck to you.

Very wriggly at 12 weeks scan, then at 16 week scan, hardly moved at all! Sometimes they're just snoozing, they do sleep about 14 hours a day apparently (not sure at how many weeks). Hope you stop worrying soon!

MissTwister · 01/05/2015 22:59

All over the place at 12 week but really still at 20 week. Just sleepy I should think!

Gillian1980 · 01/05/2015 23:19

Ours was asleep for most if the 12 week scan and only moved when I was asked by the sonographer to shake my belly about a bit to encourage the baby to move positions.

Same at the 20 week one - she was just lying there with legs crossed and only giving the odd wave.

But as she has a disco in my tummy most nights I think she generally just sleeps a lot during the day!

Not loads of movement in 12 week scan - though it did look like it had hiccups! 20 week scan it hardly moved at all... I'm feeling movement most days now (20+5) and usually around 3-4pm. Otherwise, I think it's sleeping Smile

This time around baby was asleep throughout the 12 week scan, made getting all of the measurements so much easier!

HelenF350 · 02/05/2015 05:08

I had an 11 week scan and baby was going crazy, had another at 12 weeks and it barely moved, in fact we spent half an hour trying to get baby to stretch out to be measured. Now 31+5.

Thank you. Our history is a little complicated as our little one has a degenerative muscular condition which they cannot test for in utero. The one thing I noticed was that he never moved much in scans/ later in pregnancy could feel little movement. I'm so scared it will happen again. Good to hear people have a range of experiences.

My first baby was snoozing at the scan, the sonographer was trying to get me to do shimmies on the bed to make her move. The one I'm brewing now was apparently arching its back, but only when I couldn't see the screen - when they turned it round for me I'd missed everything. If you think about it, they can't be boinging around all day long, and the scan is what, ten minutes? It's entirely likely that you'd just happen to get them at a sleepy time.

Best of luck. In the nicest way, I hope this baby boots your insides all over the place. :)

She moved at first and then it was like she realised we were watching her having a wriggle and she then promptly turned her back on us and refused to move.

At my private scan at 17 weeks she was also stubborn and at my 20 week scan. Am now 36+3. Some babies are just stubborn, sorry you had a bad experience previously.

GraceGrape · 02/05/2015 09:51

Dd1 wriggled constantly. Dd2 didn't move in a single scan, not even during an amnio.

Stinkylinky · 02/05/2015 13:06

No movement whatsoever at my 13 week scan but wouldn't keep still at 20 week scan!

Had a 10+4 weeks scan and baby was nice and chilled out...all sleepy until the sonographer decided to wake him/her up but bouncing on my belly, no warning...not good with a full bladder!

Number3cometome · 05/05/2015 10:29

Mine was lazy, wouldn't move, was sent out to pee, came back, still wouldn't move.

I did really worry as with my previous babies they had always been active!

Come the 20 week scan it was quite obvious baby is a cheeky little thing, he wriggled all over the place and we needed 3 attempts to scan him properly.

Same again with a private scan and 3d scan and 28 week scan.

He just likes to play possum Wink

Just a quick update. Had a further scan yesterday at a specialist unit because of my history and baby was going crazy! Such a relief! Fingers crossed. Thanks for all yours reassurance.
