Am I the only one who doesn't need to pee at night?

Twiglett - I am 17 weeks and that 1st trimester peeing isn't abating and I know it will only get worse. You are a blessed twiglett. Maybe you were very good in a previous life?

Tinker · 30/04/2004 11:12

I never had the first timester weeing at all.

GeorginaA · 30/04/2004 11:13

Twiglett - funnily enough, now you mention it... I haven't been either. I have during the day (but then that's because I've been trying hard to drink 8 glasses a day to minimise problems with OC) but not needed to go in the night anywhere near as frequently as with ds.

Perhaps second time around your bladder is a bit more hardy?

lilymum · 30/04/2004 11:15

twiglett maybe you're just so exhausted your body cares more about getting sleep than weeing... You must have a bladder of steel!

LOL

What I'm more jealous of is the 9am lie in.

Oh blimey, am doing all of that already Twiglett, just without the waddling (yet). Maybe it was me who was bad in a previous life? My mum would definitely call it karma, I know that much (is true, a ha ha haaa ah)

tomkitty · 30/04/2004 15:13

I must have a huge bladder because I never get up in the night, never did and I am 28 wks now.

CountessDracula · 30/04/2004 15:17

Before you get all smug you must remember that the weeing in the night is TRAINING for getting up in the night for the newborn. So, you will suffer after the birth, if not before

tomkitty · 30/04/2004 15:27

I feel martyrdom coming on

Lesley76 · 30/04/2004 15:36

Just wait. That baby will wriggle about, settle right on top of your bladder and you'll be up every 10 minutes

Kayleigh · 30/04/2004 16:29

I'm not even pregnant and have to get up at LEAST once in the night to pee. Imagine what i was like when I was pregnant !

twiglett maybe you've turned into a camel

spots · 30/04/2004 18:15

Twiglett I did hardly any excess peeing at the beginning, when I felt I should have been. A friend who's a holistic sort of health practitioner bod said the bladder's associated with Fear, and if you are not a Fearful kind of a gal then your bladder won;t be such an issue.

Baby head rocking against it now makes that argument rather redundant for me but thought you might be interested anyway...

vivat · 30/04/2004 21:30

well i'm 39 weeks and last night i got up at 1am, 3am and 6am to pee - and about 8 times today. And it's my second. Bladder made of loo roll i think...

Bozza · 01/05/2004 15:45

Sounds fairly abnormal to me Twiglett

Am 38 weeks and getting up 2/3/4 times a night (and we're talking 10.30 to 7.30 here not your extended hours....).

In the day time I'm OK ish until I stand up and then permanently feel the need to go (even when I'm standing up from the toilet IYSWIM). Think its because baby is now engaged.

carla · 01/05/2004 15:58

Twiglett, is your CS this coming Monday?

Twiglett do you think that perhaps your baby has moved down a bit? If you've been having BH's sounds like your body is preparing for the impending event (although I know you are going to get in there first and have a section) so maybe the baby has engaged or something and started pressing on your bladder. Still you've only 3 more nights of it.
