Just that basically and worried about telling them in a couple of months. It took a year to get pregnant last time and I was genuinely worried it would never happen again (due to health condition) so I'm hugely grateful and happy that it did. I'm still nervous tho. I don't want them to think I just joined to take advantage of the maternity leave etc.

Any advice on how to broach the conversation, when it comes, would be much appreciated. Last time was simple as wasn't just a few months into my role etc.

Thanks so much

Firstly - congratulations!
I'd try and keep it quiet until you've done 3 months probation (if you have to do that) but hopefully they will be pleased for you.
This happens to my friend and she spoke to them at 15 weeks and they were fine, she took her boss for coffee and cake and everything was fine for her xx

Congratulations!

Try not to think about how you'll tell them for now, you've got a bit of time and you'll develop relationships there in that time that will make it easier.

Women have babies, and employers (sounds silly) know that. They'll likely get almost a year from you anyway, people leave jobs after less time Smile x

Thank you both - I really appreciate it Smile I'm on 6 months probation which coincides with being 12 weeks pregnant. I'll cross my fingers that coffee and cake do the trick! My boss is actually lovely and is a working mum too, but I think I just feel guilty and a bit shocked xx

Hello! I was exactly the same as you! My six month probation ended at the same time as I hit the 12 week mark. But I actually ended up having to tell them earlier as I was running out of meetings to throw up. I was really, really open with them; I told them that it was a surprise, that I was worried about the timing and, even more worried about their perception of the timing. They were absolutely lovely about it. Seemed much more worried about whether I'd successfully stopped smoking since finding out (I had!) I was lucky and the man I work for has two young children and his wife works at the same law firm. I also have been feeling incredibly guilty, especially since I was signed off sick at one point, but they have told me so many times that I shouldn't feel at all guilty and that these things happen all the time and that I should just be looking after myself and the baby. I hope your work are as nice to you!
