What is pelvic girdle pain?

I've got pain in my pelvis. I googled it and all sites are coming up with pelvic girdle pain. I don't have clicking or grinding though.
It doesn't hurt when I'm sat still it's when I move in bed or shift position and when I get up.
Doesn't hurt when I walk.
So to me it doesn't sound like pelvic girdle.
I'm 37 weeks pregnant. Could it be baby's head engaging? And my pelvis widening?

Ticks a lot of the boxes of PGP (could also try looking up spd). clicking and grinding aren't necessarily present. Does it hurt in your hips, or your pubis?

It sounds like mild pgp to me. Mine didn't click or grind till it got really bad. I was unlucky enough to have it from 14 weeks, can barely walk now at 30+4.

Hmm, sounds quite like PGP, but maybe mild if walking doesn't hurt at all. Mine hurts most at night when I've had a day of walking around/doing stuff in general. Bending/leaning over/putting my weight unevenly also hurts. Lifting/moving my leg when lying flat also hurts.

I've only had clicking recently and I started getting PGP 8 weeks ago now.

Can it come and go? It doesn't feel as bad today but does get worse in the evening. Turning in bed is the worst. It doesn't really hurt in my hips, more the middle front.

It can come and go and you can get it in the front or back of your pelvis or in your hips. Lucky me has all 4! Hmm

Sounds exactly like what I had (which was PGP)

Sympathy, it's a bugger

If the pain is like a dull ache through your pubic bone and vagina that then is a sharp pain when you spread your legs to roll over then that sounds like early PGP.. I've had that since 13 weeks so know it well. I've only started having the sensation my hips and my thigh bones aren't connected in the last week or so at 35/6 weeks which is when you're meant to get a last surge of relaxin to help your pelvis relax in preparation for birth. Consider yourself lucky to only be getting symptoms now.
