slapped cheek

Hi,
My neighbour has slapped cheek disease and I am 9 weeks pregnant. She plays with my son a lot but I don't think she's coughed/ sneezed around me.
I've looked it up on the nhs website but not sure how contagious it is. Do you think I should phone my gp, and how urgently? I'm so busy!
Thanks

I'm a teacher and found out that one child I taught had it, spoke to midwife she said to monitor myself if I felt unwell to contact doctor so he could test blood for exposure, I felt fine so didn't need too, apparently lots of people are immune to it so unless your unwell I wouldn't worry

I read that adults can have it with no symptoms so it might be worth getting a blood test to be on the safe side, if you know you're immune then you don't have to worry. My son had it when I was 5 weeks pregnant so I was tested and found to be immune. My doctor had never heard of the complications in pregnancy and even my midwife had to go and do some research before I got the blood test. The potential consequences for baby are serious enough to err on the side of caution and get the tests done though, for peace of mind if nothing else.

Thanks. I think I'd better phone the doctor tomorrow. I won't be able to get there tomorrow though, and they're shut at the weekend so hopefully it's something that can wait a few days.

I came in contact with it at 7weeks pregnant. I was given a blood test to check immunity (I was immune) my doc said 99% of adults are immune but best to be checked. I think the very slight risk is worth the faf of getting checked.
