Rollercoasters when pregnant

I'm 5 weeks pregnant and myself and my OH had booked to go to Blackpool pleasure beach tomorrow.
Is it safe during early pregnancy or would it be best giving it a miss?
I feel like nausea is kicking in today (unless it's the crap I've eaten) so if that's the case I'll definitely not be going. this is probably a silly question I'm just so clueless!
TIA

They all have signs saying don't use if pregnant.

The signs always say don't ride when pregnant.

I love coasters but am giving them up for 9 months.

that's fine then. I don't actually plan on going big rollercoasters we're taking my OHs nieces so I wondered about going on the smaller ones (not the Big Dipper or anything I don't think I'd even attempt that not being pregnant) but I wouldn't want to risk it even on the smallest of rides

My friends mother lost a baby by going on a rollercoaster. Not worth it!!

Roller coasters at amusement parks here in the US generally have signs saying pregnant women should not ride them. The American Pregnancy Association says you should not ride roller coasters while pregnant, and that doing so might cause a placental abruption. They do say, though, that there are no studies proving anything either way about the safety of roller coasters during pregnancy.

If I were having any nausea, I'd stay off roller coasters for that reason alone. I found that pregnancy made my motion sickness much more easily triggered. The other people who might be riding the roller coaster with you will thank you for staying off if you are nauseous. Your OH's nieces would not enjoy you throwing up on them. Few people do.

I think I would throw up A LOT!

blacktreaclecat · 15/04/2015 19:48

I wouldn't as you know you are. I went to Drayton Manor in my 2ww (ivf) and got a bfp though - maybe the centrifugal force aided implantation!

Thank you all!
blacktreacle maybe it was, I may try in my next tww after this one is born haha!

We've opted to go to Chester zoo now instead.. now I feel much less left out
