When will the baby move up in pelvis and stop putting pressure on my bladder?

I'm 15+4 and still don't have much of a bump. My tummy's not quite as flat as it used to be, but I don't look pregnant yet. I can feel edge of uterus (still low in pelvis) and I'm very active, still doing sports, hiking etc.

The last week or so I've been needing to wee ALL the time!! The pressure is painful if I don't go as soon as I need to. Im getting up 7-8x in night. No UTI. I also keep getting heartburn and can't eat much as I feel I don't have space for food. My friend says this is because womb is growing rapidly and putting pressure on internal organs, she says in a couple more weeks it will move up and out in pelvis, and I won't need to wee all the time. Is she right?

She said when she was 20 weeks her bump suddenly appeared overnight and she felt much better as it created 'space' in pelvis. Anyone else experienced this?

I find it worse now at 34 weeks as baby is constantly moving and I feel like I am having my bladder squeezed permanently :/

I found that I stopped needing to go as much by around 15 weeks, though I know it's only temporary and will get worse again in 3rd trimester. Try gaviscon for the heartburn (I prefer the strawberry tablet version to the icky liquid) as it has worked for me.

Has your urine been sent for analysis in the lab? I only ask because last pg I had a uti that was undetected on the dip tests (and hence I diagnosed) for several moths until it started causing contractions and a sample was sent off. It showed group b strep. Cleared up with antibiotics once we knew what it was!

In answer to your question, I think most often early pg urinary urge is down to hormones and that does ease off. It is also true that your uterus does move up a bit in the second trimester. (and sadly true that by/in the third you may be feeling baby at all ends - top, bottom and sides!).

I started feeling better around 18 to 20 weeks. At least, I'm now getting up to pee once or twice in the night rather than four or five times! There does seem to be a brief respite before the baby starts getting bigger! Although it also depends what position the baby is in too, I think. Someone mentioned to me that it's worst when the baby is head down!
