Rh- and dental treatment?

Hi,
I've been told that I have a rhesus negative blood type and am having my first anti-d injection next week.
My midwife briefly mentioned that if I had any bleeding or a 'knock' before the injection to let my care team know as I'd need an extra injection.
Probably a silly question but I'm going in for some emergency dental care today and was wondering if this type of bleeding would need an extra injection or is it just abdominal bleeding??
Any advice would be great thank you!

I think its just abdominal. I'm also negative and had a slight bleed early on (got an anti d jab at 13 weeks) and they said to contact if there was any more bleeding but didn't say anything about any other type of bleeding. Maybe mention it to dentist just to double check but should be ok. Good luck at the dentist!

Just abdominal. Anything that could cause bleeding in the uterus, cervix or around that area, because this can cause your blood to mix with the babies

No worries. The prob would be if your baby has +ve blood and if this leaks into your body then your body will make antibodies to the Rhesus factor and attack your baby's blood. You bleeding (mouth or limbs) isn't an issue.
