Sick of not being able to find maternity wear IN STORE

Hoping some bright spark can point me in the right direction....either I'm being incredibly divvy or there is a distinct lack of maternity wear stocked in high street stores at the moment.

When I was pg with my ds a few years ago I never had any issues, I could happily shop in M&S, Matalan, New Look, H&M & Next amongst other stores and I could try items on to my hearts content.

I'm now pg again and am not really a standard size/shape iyswim? I cant seem to find any stores locally who actually stock Maternity, they all seem to say its online only. Normally fine but I need to try on as they rarely fit (I've just spent over £100 on bits from Red Herring maternity and not one item fitted me Sad )

So far Ive tried, Asda, Matalan, Next, New Look, TK Maxx, Marks and Spencer, Tesco, Primark, Dorothy Perkins...and lots more. Im a 16-18Uk depending on which shop.

So where do you lovely ladies find you can buy items (other than mothercare) in store? TIA

I feel your pain. The only in store range I've found was a tiny selection in Debenhams (but not my local Debenhams) and a tiny selection in H&M. I have to be smart for work so feel lucky to have found some lovely tapered black trousers in H&M which I've been living in. I also found some decent enough jeggings and jeans in mothercare. Other than that have relied on friends hand me downs and jo jo wrap tops (although I agree they are a tad annoying to get right!)

Larger Debenhams have a decent maternity selection ime. I've also found john Lewis, mothercare, jojo, h&m. I have a few outfits, will be glad when can wear my normal clothes again though!

It's crap!! I'm a size 20-22 so having real issues. It's annoying you have to spend a fortune on line and wait for a refund. I tend to buy two sizes of everything to see what fits best. But not ideal. I asked in Next why they'd taken the maternity range out and they couldn't tell me why!! I mean it's not like people being pregnant is a rare occurrence! !
