For DD's I was able to go to Tescos, Next or wherever I fancied.
With boys, it's all 'I'm a cheeky monkey, heres a spaceship' slogos, where can I get boys clothes that look like miniature mans clothes?

Has anyone else found this?

Baby Gap and Zara have beautiful boys stuff

tinkerbellvspredator · 08/04/2015 13:03

I'm liking Vertbaudet, sale offers on all the time so don't buy anything full price.

tortoisesarefab · 08/04/2015 13:04

Boots do some nice boyswear, I also love jo jo maman bebe and marks and Spencer's have the odd nice thing

em165 · 08/04/2015 13:07

Baby gap, jojo maman Bebe, Boden, Gymboree and carters

Stinkylinky · 08/04/2015 13:09

Also Alex and Alexa, pricey but I only buy stuff in the sales

DustingOffTheDynastySuit · 08/04/2015 13:10

Jo Jo Maman Bebe is definitely not 'miniature man' clothes, but they are cute, comfy and logo-free.

I LOVE Boden for toddler boys upwards, but only buy sale.

fixuplooksharp · 08/04/2015 13:10

Usually I would say Next, as I am a massive fan of proper manly clothes on the little men :) But this year I have noticed they've gone a bit slogan and image crazy!! I have a 2yo and a 6yo and am pregnant with my third DC, I find it slightly eaier to dress the 2 year old, but the 6yo, nightmare, all the clothes are too young for him, he likes to look like his Dad in smart polo shirts etc. I would say the odd time I go to the city where there's a Zara, they usually have really lovely bits.

mrsmugoo · 08/04/2015 13:17

Asda / Sainsburys for plain basics/vests/socks etc

Jojo
Zara
H&M

skinnylegs33 · 08/04/2015 13:20

Baby gap do lovely stuff. Much better than the girls' in my opinion (been shopping for baby girl but couldn't take my eyes off the boy's stuff)

lightgreenglass · 08/04/2015 13:23

Boots Mini Club
Next
Marks and Spencers
H&M
Baby Gap
Zara is a bit pricey I think

It really is a case of shopping around. You find the odd gem in those places. John Lewis is good but their sizes are weird if you have a slim baby.

skitter · 08/04/2015 13:27

I love Scandinavian kids' and baby clothes. They are definitely not mini-man clothes, but they are lovely and not slogan-y. They're also not cheap but are so cute and bright, unlike all the incredibly dull denim and khaki boys' stuff you usually see. I've bought a few things things in online sales - Duns bodysuits, Maxomorra stuff - and combine then with simple plain cheap clothes. I also LOVE Slugs and Snails tights for baby boys (they specialise in tights for boys) but they are definitely not mini-man! Again, not cheap but cute and v practical. I also like Oishi-m, which is an Australian kids' clothes company with some lovely stuff. They do baby sized. Again, you have to buy it on sale as otherwise it's very expensive, but their sales come up fairly regularly and you can get things for 50% off.

Found some nice bits in Next, Zara, Mamas & Papas. Boots had some decent stuff too

scarednoob · 08/04/2015 13:32

i've always thought this when buying for friends' babies - they have aisles upon aisles of stuff for little girls, and one rack for boys!

i have got some lovely trousers, shirts and even tiny mini pullovers from trotters, if you have one near you, or online? i was a bit worried that i was going to make my friend's 1 year old look like a miniature golfer, but actually he looked super-cool.

scarednoob · 08/04/2015 13:33

also my nephew wanted a suit for his 7th birthday (i know, don't ask!!) and ted baker do some nice things?

BumgrapesofWrath · 08/04/2015 13:40

Why do you want your little boys to look like men?

Most of my boys clothes are bought from Sainsburys, and I think they're lovely.

ch1134 · 08/04/2015 13:43

I don't like the Sainsbury look as it's all cartoon-y or tractors. Joules is the worst for gender stereotyping. I like vertbaudet, h&m for bright stuff. Sometimes peacocks or m&co.

lightgreenglass · 08/04/2015 13:44

Some of the scandi stuff is nice but it costs a bomb even when on sale. £40 for a top. No thanks. Also some of it looks like pyjamas - I think it's all very faddy and can imagine my boy saying to me when he's older - what on earth was I wearing mum. That's my thoughts on it anyway.

berrypicking · 08/04/2015 14:59

The only place I go to is Zara, Gap and H&M. They do great boys clothes x

teejayem · 08/04/2015 15:08

I've picked up some nice things in M&S and Debenhams. I'm not wild about everything in baby blue or white, so I've gone for bright colors, lots of stripes etc.

MistressKatherine · 08/04/2015 20:34

Baby gap rocks!

mrsmugoo · 08/04/2015 20:49

I think baby boys/toddlers look super cute in little man clothes. Each to their own.

claires1730 · 08/04/2015 20:54

I completely agree with you about boys clothes! Hate anything with slogans, animals, boats & trains or cars Hmm love simple smart bits. I've found the best places to be

Gap
Zara
H&M
Next (some bits)
Little bird @ mothercare (but not other bits)
Bouteque places online.

Happy shopping!!

moomoob · 08/04/2015 21:41

Debenhams Is always good I think lots of different designers reasonably priced Ted Baker Jasper Conran Rocha John Rocha. River Island also do baby clothes now if you want something trendy
