low abdominal pain when walking - spd?

Walking home today I had really sore pain in my lower abdomen and this evening shooting pains in my lower back. Also felt like I really needed the loo but when I went, nothing. I had to lie down for 20 mins and wait for the pain to go off. It feels like muscular pain - not cramping. I've had pains like this off and on for the last few weeks - 23 weeks now - but was really sore today.

Does this sound like possible spd or just normal pregnancy stuff? Feeling a bit miserable if this is only going to get worse as the baby gets bigger.

SPD doesn't feel like muscle pain. It feels like being kicked in the crotch by a horse. If it feels like muscle pain, that's probably what it is - can you take it a bit easier any how? x

UTI? Back and abdominal pain, feeling like you need to urinate but not being able to, it all fits. You should take a sample to your GP tomorrow so it can be dipped for signs of infection.

Thanks. Was tested for uti first time I felt this, but totally clear. I'm relieved if it's not spd as a friend was really floored by it.

Sounds like round ligament pain to me - I ended up in hospital earlier this week it hurt so much! If it continues though do get it checked out x

Also I've found it comes and goes rather than gets progressively worse if that helps

Sorry, but that's how my spd started! I was told that abdominal pain - the type you describe - can be a sign. But do get it checked out as could just be ligament pain.

I'm now waiting for the midwife to call back to discuss with her. To be honest, it's not nearly as bad as people with full on SPD/PGP describe and does come and go, but the advice seems to be that, if necessary, earlier treatment can prevent it getting a lot worse, so I don't really want to wait for my next appointment in 3 weeks before getting it checked.
