help. Not vomiting but have constant morning sickness. Had it for 3 days now, or 4, it's absolutely doing my head in. How am I going to cope (single, no support and loads of stuff to sort in falling down house, not to mention how i'm going to pay for it, before baby comes, assuming all goes well) if this continues, it's taken my last iota of energy!
Please, I hope it doesn't last much longer, tho i know some have it all the way thru.

Oh you poor thing. I'm a fellow sufferer (although I have the excessive vomiting to go with it) and I can honestly say the nausea is often much worse than the actual sickness. I can cope with the vomit. I cannot cope with the crippling nausea.

Food is probably the last thing on your mind while you are feeling like this, which is understandable but please believe me when I say eating very little and often WILL help to some extent. As will making sure you are properly hydrated.

Try nibbling on something dry and light before you get out of bed in the morning. Snack again a little while afterwards. Little and often is the way forward. I have given up with 3 meals a day and now have 6-8 smaller 'meals'. If I go more than a few hours without eating I am guaranteed to be sick.

If the nausea continues to stop you from doing day to day things then you may want to see your GP. There are numerous meds available to help with the sickness and nausea.

I hope you feel better soon OP Flowers

whoever called it morning sickness needs to be strung up!
Eating little and often helped me a lot, I felt awful till I had something to eat in the morning which was a struggle in itself but I felt so much better once I did, even if a piece of toast or some belvita biscuits.
If I got hungry it would come back very quickly, ginger biscuits and mints in my draw at works just to have something small nearby was a god send.

Also the travel sickness bands worked and keeping hydrated, so sipping water little and often.

Hope you find something that helps, not sure how far you are but mine got a lot better around 16 wks, even though it can come back a little if I go too long without eating but it's nothing like it was.

Hi I am 11 weeks and suffered terrible nausea from 6 weeks up until 10 weeks and still get the occasional bout of it. It is true that even though you might not feel hungry, eating little and often does tend to keep the nausea at bay. I always find I start feeling sick late afternoon as I have left too bigger gap between lunch and dinner so I try to snack in between meals and it has really helped me, I would never have believed it 4 weeks ago though as it is rotten, hang in there it does pass! You can buy some lollipops off amazon called pregggie pops they are amazing they have essential oils in which help with nausea and they worked for me, doctor recommended too :) xx

Hello, proper feel for you as I had morning, noon and night sickness early on too and agree it is totally miserable. It is very likely to reduce and having it all the way through it fairly uncommon I think. Mine started to reduce at 9 or 10 weeks and I still have it on occasion, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. I switched to breakfast biscuits and only had a little bit of water first thing. Then had a cup of tea about an hour later. No sure if it was coincidence but seemed to help. I also had murry mints to hand too - bags of them! Hope that helps, hope you feel better soon.

thanks very much ladies, to be fair, it's eased off a lot the past couple of days - touch wood - , now it seems to be at the point of having no appetite and only having nausea if i don't keep my face totally stuffed with (often not-that-healthy) food. So ironic that at the point at which
I'm meant to be eating all this healthy stuff, I have no appetite and just have to shove down whatever ice cream and crisps will keep the nausea at bay! I am finding tho that once i start to eat an apple, it's actually ok, it's just the thought of it that i don't fancy really. Normally i like healthy food!

Op I am the same as you, it started off as all day and night nausea and being sick, now its just constant sick feeling with no vomiting,

I found that have a bit of lime cordial with fizzy water or lemonade was a godsend! Apparently the fizz helps to settle the stomach, I started researching it after drinking coke at a party and the nausea disappeared!

Good luck!

will try and remember to try that
i've ordered some preggie pops and acupressure wrist bands, they're going to take ages to come though!
looking fwd to getting back to normal. I don't know how people who have that full-on morning sickness cope, unless they're kate middleton and then everything is done for them obviously

I feel your pain Train, I have crippling nausea too, no sickness though (kinda wish I could be sick, it might bloody help!).

I'm not actually being sick so the doc won't give me anything....

I can relate to what you say, I can't even concentrate on TV either, it's awful. I have a 2 year old too, you'd think it'd be a distraction and you'd have to 'get on with it' but no, all that extra bending down just makes it worse! First time round it was no where near this bad... Confused It will go though and it will be worth it in the end! Never again though!

I always found a handful of unsalted almonds helped. The second I started feeling sick I started the almonds. Turns out they get rid of stomach acid. Who knew?!
