Hi so im 19 weeks with my second was told after a early scan ( pain and bleeding) I have a low lying placenta but nothing else was explained about it. Over the last week ive had pains in my hip like im being stabbed that last for about 20 mins then ease off, and a lump (which I thought was the baby) in my pelvic area that pops out and is so painful I can't walk, move its unlike anything I've experienced. So I rang my gp told me it's growing pains, I said I didn't have these pains with my first and I could barely pick up my 15 month old and they said to rest! So yesterday afternoon the hip pain and pelvic pain came bk and hasn't stopped at all, I had to pop out this morning and I was nearly in tears pushing the buggy! Not sure what to do, can't get hold of a midwife, any one else had this?

Sounds like it cld be spd?

Go back to the midwife/gp - it sounds like pelvic problems like spd. Growing pains are not as extreme. It's a fairly common condition and if your gp doesn't know anything about it go and see another doc or your midwife. And get a maternity support band to support the bump and take the weight off your pelivs (look on amazon/mothercare)

Thanks for your replys my gp isn't open untill Tuesday and still not heard back from midwifeAngry it's eased off at the moment but the minute i pick up my daughter it feels like someone is ripping my leg off at the hip, I seriously considered going a and e early hours of this morning, but I'm not sure what they can do Sad

Sounds like SPD/PGP to me as well. Chase up your midwife as they should be able to refer your for physio. I was in the same position, my GP said was typical pregnancy 'twinges', I mentioned it to midwife a few weeks later & had physio referral straightaway.
