How much heavier can this baby get? I feel like I'm carrying a water-filled beachball around my waist. URRRRRRRGGGGG. Another 9 weeks of this? I want my baby to be ready when it comes out but I'd also like a BREAK.

Apols for venting but need to get it out.

9 weeks... We can SO do this........

purplebiro · 02/04/2015 10:37

Was off sick last week and now back at work and I really cannot be doing with my office chair any more. Bah.

9 weeks is nothing though, right? I remember when I first got pregnant reading threads on here from women over 30 weeks and thinking "wow! that's so pregnant" and not being able to imagine being here. We've got this far, final furlong and all that. puffs

Yeh. I've only got 4 shifts left. (Luckily getting annual leave before mat leave starts) but my gawd it's a struggle.

Whinge whinge moan moan grumble grumble

Hating how people like to comment on how large I am (I'm actually surprisingly neat still!) gah!!

purplebiro · 02/04/2015 11:43

YES! "Oh you're only 31 weeks! You look a lot further along than that!" You mean I look fatter, do you? THEN SAY IT PROPERLY" (I have not had the guts to say to anyone)

I am the same. 30+2 for me today and I feel like a whale rolling around and so heavy. Also feel so tight and ready to pop. How can there be another 9 weeks of growing? Am quite scared! Thankfully after the Easter break I only have one week of work left in the office and I think finishing work will be a godsend!

comeagainforbigfudge · 02/04/2015 11:50

Ha ha I just tell them it's actually bloating.
They All say "Yeh ok" but given you can see my bump grow over the course of a day, it actually is ha ha ha

Or if it's someone with a bigger belly than me I just say, at least there's a baby in there thank you very much. What's your excuse?! (Tbf it's men that I say that to. Cheeky shites that I know can take it Easter Wink)

leanne963 · 02/04/2015 12:15

Haha i am 32+4 and i seriously cannot fathom how i am going to be mobile past 34 weeks! I constantly get 'Look at you waddling' comments and even walking up the stairs takes it out of me! It is hard work just to walk!! I don't think this is something i even comprehended before getting pregnant ha!

applecore0317 · 02/04/2015 12:39

Makes me laugh because I bet they wouldn't dare comment on my size once the baby is born, but somehow it's OK during pregnancy!

32+1 bump is low, slight waddle and bloody tired. Thankfully work is finished now as have been signed off

BeforeIChangeMyMind · 02/04/2015 12:47

"YES! "Oh you're only 31 weeks! You look a lot further along than that!" You mean I look fatter, do you? THEN SAY IT PROPERLY" (I have not had the guts to say to anyone)"

This. Exactly. Thanks purplebiro. Four times in one day last week. Utterly sick of it. I'm not massive, I'm just petite, so where else is the bump going to go but out front.

The LADY FROM HR (I kid you not) said "no way" when I told her my due date and suggested that I'd be ready to drop in two weeks - when the baby would be pretty premature. I was so cross but didn't say anything - my work always seems to put young lasses with no clue about pregnancy in charge of maternity arrangements.

Last time, when I told HR my due date, a different not-got-a-clue said "so you'll be wanting to stop work a week before" (statement not a question) and was all set to write this on my form before I stopped her. I delivered at 39+1 so that wouldn't have been wise.

Sorry to rant too, 31 weeks here. Crossing fingers for a nice spring to cheer me up.

Spl0ink · 02/04/2015 17:11

Yay for you lot!

Been working alongside a pregnant colleague who was two months ahead of me. She just had her baby and worked up until a week before she was due, coming back in to the office to help out with a big event the day before her baby actually came, when she was some days overdue.

I'm 31+4 today and finish work next Friday. I look like Ive eaten the moon. I haven't slept for longer than a couple of hours in weeks.

Ah I feel much better for unburdening that :)

mum2benicole · 02/04/2015 18:19

teejayem · 03/04/2015 00:43

Can I join? 31wks tomorrow, and I am just so over being pregnant. I've had about 20 min unbroken sleep each night, heartburn is back and SPD is agony. I've thankfully finished work and am taking annual leave now, but jesus, another 9 weeks, Nooooooooooooo!

pepperfish · 03/04/2015 11:46

34 weeks here and I know how you feel! Just the other night I had a good sob to DH that 'I just want half an hour of not being pregnant anymoreeeeeeee!!!!!' Let's hope these last weeks fly by!! Grin

comeagainforbigfudge · 03/04/2015 11:49

To add to my woes. OH read an article about shared paternity leave and was wittering on about how great it would be if he could share it with me.

This was several WEEKS after me asking if he wanted to share it and him saying no. And after me confirming with my work my mat leave dates.

I've put my foot down though. I have a very physical, tiring job (and have been looking forward to my time off with baby).

besides once I go back he'll be the main carer so phooey to him.... Easter Angry post night shift irrational rage

KatoPotato · 03/04/2015 11:55

34 weeks today! I finally lost the rag at the head housekeeper at work who shouted 'Here she comes' and mimed what can only be described as a gorilla carrying two beach balls under each armpit...

IvegotaCaveTroll · 03/04/2015 20:19

I'm 37 weeks and I have to say it still feel like an age (and I'm prob being induced at 39 weeks anyway.
I had to stop working a 28 weeks an felt terrible for it. At the end of the day some people have an easy pregnancy and some people just don't. I just haven't had an easy pregnancy and that's that- I mean iv not been ridiculously ill but iv vomited all through and had other issues.

I can't imagine being able to do this if I already had I child- and I always really wanted 2!!

Wishing everyone all the best

BallroomWithNoBalls · 04/04/2015 22:31

OMG Kato I would not have been able to restrain myself from punching that woman!

Checking in - I'm 31 weeks and getting zero sympathy from anyone, DH seems to think it's easier this time because I've done it before or something? Whereas having a toddler is a total nightmare in late pregnancy. As soon as I get dd to bed I'm in bed myself. And my back hurts soooo much. And I want to eat and eat sugary crap but don't want to end up as huge as last time. And I'd love a huge glass of lovely red wine Wine and to wear a nice dress and go out wearing high heels.

BlinkAndMiss · 05/04/2015 07:13

31 weeks here too, 2nd baby so I have a toddler to run around after. I'm huge! I know I wasn't this big with DS, I was definitely a lower weight at the beginning with DS so I think that has a lot to do with it. Plus, I'm so tired that the only things appealing to eat are the sugary, carbo laiden snacks that I know I should be avoiding.

Everything hurts, nothing fits and I just feel so self conscious all the time. I work with teenagers so appearance is important at the best of times so that they don't take the piss out of me, but it's impossible to feel even slightly confident at work these days.

And it's only going to get worse :( :( :(.

Seriously though, I'm grateful being pregnant, I really am. I just feel so very uncomfortable at the moment and I have 9 weeks left to go. I'm impressed with the restraint some of you have shown on here to rude colleagues! I think I would have snapped at them by now, it irritates me when people think up they can comment on the size of my bump let alone make jokes and be rude about it. There is only one friend who has been sensitive to me because she knows how self conscious I am, everyone else is like "Oh you've done it before" etc etc. but I'm finding it so much harder now than I did last time. It's not like I can nap when I feel like it. Plus I'm working to 39 weeks this time, last time I stopped at 35 which is just down to how the timing has worked out.

OneFlewOverTheMumsNest · 06/04/2015 04:53

Oh me, can I join in the moaning?I'm 30 weeks. It's the middle of the night. I can't sleep, I can barely breathe (rhinitis) and I can't get comfortable in bed. I'm lying here craving orange juice knowing if I go and drink it, I'll either be vomiting soon after (as I still have "morning" sickness) or I'll have heartburn. Joy!

Sympathies to the other big bumped ladies, it's no fun is it? Especially with a toddler to run after. But also made worse when all and sundry feel it's appropriate to comment on your bulk. Might be pregnant people but it's still rude!

3.5 more weeks until I finish work - thank god for annual leave.

AlwaysDancing1234 · 06/04/2015 04:59

I'm reading this whilst feeding my now 9 month old daughter but can't totally remember those feelungs!
I felt ready to punch anyone who commented on my size, I looked like I'd swallowed a beach ball towards the end. And MIL would say "ooh you've popped out even more" every bloody time I saw her" which didn't help!
All I can promise is you too will soon be sitting with your baby in your arms wondering where the hell the time went!
Wishing you all a happy and healthy rest of pregnancy and hope you get some rest before the little monsters make their grand entrances

boatrace30 · 06/04/2015 15:16

Also 31 weeks and fed up! Working till 38 and dreading every minute as its the busiest time of year. I'm also petite with a large bump and equally fed up of all the comments. Having said that though, I cant imagine what another 9weeks growth is going to look (or feel) like!

Purpleboa · 07/04/2015 11:53

Can I join too? After a relatively 'easy' first two trimesters, it's all hitting me now! 30 weeks today, spd means even walking short distances hurts, baby using my bladder as her special pillow oh and blocked nose, sore eyes and carpal tunnel! Not forgetting constipation (it's pretty hard to forget). Not finishing up work till week 38 and I'm scared of how hard it's going to be. My office is at the top of a steep hill and the commute is beginning to kill me. And there's still 9 weeks of growth to go, eeek!! But hey, we have got this far ladies, we are amazing, we can do this!!

comeagainforbigfudge · 07/04/2015 12:28

Arrrgh! I'm only 30+4!! I've added some days on somewhere. Nooooooo!

Silver lining... only this week left at work Grin
