Where do people recommend? I went to John Lewis Oxford St yesterday and was amazed that they don't stock maternity wear. They said they have a small selection at Peter Jones and the rest is online. I usually wear Boden, JL, Gap, Banana Republic for casual and workwear I usually get from Whistles, Hobbs.

Usually a size 10-12. Where would you suggest? Thanks.

Red herring for me for black trousers, new look for tops and dresses. Not buying expensive clothes that I'm going to only be wearing for a few months tops! Mamas and papas jeans although I got those in the sales

Maternity shopping on the High Street is shocking. Pretty much my entire mat wardrobe is H&M as it's the only place I can actually go and try on. I find their over the bump jeans by far the best. I layer maternity tops with normal vest tops and long sleeve t-shirts from Primark, in a size up.
I'm lucky as I can wear jeans for work so I haven't needed to get anything for the office.
Gap have a great online selection, but I can't vouch for their fit as I've not tried anything.

Jo Jo Maman stock maternity wear but also sell online, I find sizing for them is quite generous. They seem to do a lightweight summer dress in different fabric each year, I bought one which was quite floral but oh so comfortable, I wore it every other day (washed in between)

Ebay!!! I bought loads second hand as I didn't want to spend a fortune on things j would only wear for a few months.
New look was really good and H&M. Mamas and papas do nice things but are very expensive.

I got a big bundle of clothes second hand from eBay which was a really cheap way of getting a whole wardrobe without traipsing round the shops! H&M stuff is good, also blooming marvellous which is the mothercare brand.

Never been pregnant, but I often stalk Seraphine for amazing maternity clothes, which seem pretty reasonably priced.

They stock some on John Lewis online, but frankly it's better to just buy direct from their own site. They have a "bump kit" which seems pretty good value for the contents.

Depends on your style I guess. I like loosed fitting tops so Gap maternity has been very good so far - v quick delivery and inexpensive. Range is limited but I also like mothercare stuff.

OP, I am also a 10/12 and was not really in to proper maternity wear until about 5 months. You will probably find there is more available on line than in store and as most websites offer free returns then why not order a load and return what doesn't suit. I have found nice stuff at Gap, Red Herring (Debenhams), Mamas & Papas, JoJo Maman, New Look, H&M and of course Asos.com
