I'm 7 weeks. Struggling to eat but forcing down as much as I can.
Get most of my nausea in the evening. But the worst thing is every night when I go to bed my whole tummy is solid and painful and I can't sleep for several hours because of the discomfort. Need to do some serious farting poor dh
Don't remember this with previous pregnancy.
Any wind relief that anyone has found?

I absolutely loved Rennies Deflatine in the first trimester, they were a saviour.

I spent a lot of time lying on my left side (someone on here recommended it; it does work but not all of the time!).

It is horrible though, serious agony. Hopefully you'll find it'll go away over the next couple of weeks.

Oh! And Boots do some own-brand wind relief tablets that are quite good. They taste gross, but they do work.

have had a similar experience since about 7/8 weeks (now 13 weeks) - nausea, bloating, hard belly in the evening, difficult to lie down and sleep comfortably at night.

And at work when I'm having to sit at desk all day - really bad for bloating and wind - and so painful.

I don't remember it being so bad last time either.

It did go away briefly for a week or so, then I got really constipated.... so now I'm trying to use a bit of lactulose to keep things moving, and taking Rennie for the trapped wind / heart burn when bloating / pain gets bad.
good luck!

My cure for this (which I had really badly in the first 12 weeks) is two bowls of bran flakes every day! They are a fortified cereal as well so you will get lots of vits as well :)

I had very bad trapped wind in the first trimester! It was very painful and did make me worry as i was unsure what the pains were, but after passing gas or having a bowel movement it usually helped.
One tip i got was to get on to your knees and elbows and rotate your hips as it shifts the gases around, this really helped!

I had TERRIBLE wind in the first 11 weeks! It did ease off though. I really wish I'd known you can get tablets for it Hmm

Peppermint oil capsules.

Barbiedoll79 · 29/03/2015 21:18

I use tums or Assad own antacids- fruit flavour they work quite well. When you all have trapped wind does it feel like crampy or stabby pains?

Iloveonionchutney · 29/03/2015 21:21

Peppermint tea I found helped, or peppermint cordial.
