Babies who are head down

Surely when they are born they feel dizzy having been upside down for so long?

You know if you are feeling a bit poorly and you lay down for hours, or days, then you get up, you feel like shit don't you?

Just had me thinking maybe this is one of the reasons babies cry? Because they feel sick and dizzy from being upright?

Just a thought Grin

I was wondering this this morning! Also are the jammed in or can they twist about?
Also at my stage (38 weeks) when I roll over at night I feel the whole baby roll from left to right with me- how does that work with it's head being jammed into my pelvis? It all sounds most uncomfortable!

Maybe it's like being in space* so you don't know which way is 'up'.

  • I have never been to space.

Haha!! This is what I mean! So many unanswered questions.

Which I should know seeing as this is baby number 3

Smile I've been wondering this myself as my little one has been head down since 30w and head engaged since about 35w.

My Dr said even when the head is fully engaged, they can still turn quite easily from side to side. Which I can confirm, given that the little one seems to find it amusing to do breakdance-style headspins on my bladder Grin
