St George's or Kingston Maternity?

I've got to choose between the two. I've only just moved to the area so know very little about them. Would appreciate any comments on the two from recent experience. Thank you!

I'm having mine at St George's. I'm 17 weeks now and my experiences so far (booking appt, 12 week scan, 1st midwife appt) have all been very positive. Compared to some of the stories ive read on here it seems to be very well organised. It's a teaching hospital which is supposed to be a good thing. I think there are horror stories everywhere but I find the fact that it's such a big hospital reassuring. I'm afraid I've only been to ENT at Kingston so don't know about that. X

Kingston was lovely for me. I would highly recommend.

I'm having mine at St George's and they've been great. I'm 31+3 and have had quite a few problems and I've been really happy with the care I've received. Really supportive. It's a teaching hospital, so has a lot of really good consultants and one of the best neonatal units around, I'm told (by people who have used it).

I've booked into Kingston again for #2, the postnatal in particular was very good with DS I thought, after hearing horror stories from elsewhere. DS had some complications and all the staff were wonderful.

A friend had a very negative experience with her second birth at George's (her first birth was great) - understand they are usually great but they were so overstretched they completely dropped the ball.

I'm having my baby at St George's and have found them to be great do far... All appointment experiences positive, additional support when I've needed it and I feel comfortable about having my first baby there. No experience of Kingston to compare though.

I've booked in with kingston. This is my first but I chose them as I had an MC at the start of the year and they dealt with it all really well so felt ok to go back this time round. I'm only 5+6 but so far they have been excellent, arranging early scans for me due to what happened last time.

That said I've heard great things about st George's but they weren't an option for me.

Had my #1 at Kingston and they were brilliant! Couldn't have asked for better care.

I had my first at kingston and they were really good. I had an initial appointment at St George's for an early pregnancy scan and was very impressed. However, I found getting to St George's a nightmare with the traffic and didn't fancy having that worry closer to the time.
But overall I have heard good things about both hospitals from friends who've had their babies there.
