Hi I don't know if im being overly paranoid but I've suffered a silent miscarriage in the past and so with this pregnancy I cannot relax! I am 8 weeks plus 2 days and last night I lost some discharge it was very strange wasn't usual discharge was a bit like the consistency of snot and was clear in colour but didn't smell of cause itching or anything ( could this be mucus plug?) since that I have checked in the shower to see position of my cervix and although it still feels soft it feels very low like a few CM in, I don't know if it's in my head but I'm sure I can feel a dull aching now. No bleeding or severe pain but I also don't feel as sick as I have done these past weeks. Any advice appreciated I'm so worried

Sorry for your previous loss, I have not suffered one myself, but can guess it does make you more anxious. Cramping is normal, the usual advice is, if it's not accompanied by bleeding, and it's no more severe than normal period pains, then it's fine. As far as the sickness goes, I felt at my worst during week 6, I'm 8+1 and feel pretty good, the odd little bout of nausea but that's it. I think the only advice anyone can give you is that if you are worried, call your midwife or get to hospital for a scan/check over. Good luck, and I hope it's nothing to be worried about at all.

Thank you for the reassurance! I am feeling a bit more positive after speaking to the early pregnancy unit as they said the position of the cervix isn't actually that important until the later stages of pregnancy. The mucus is apparently normal and can differ from woman to woman. Also I slept fine through the night, no pain or bleeding so I am hoping its in my head! Have a lovely pregnancy Flowers

Also, leave your cervix alone!

Midwife did tell me off as I'm not trained to be prodding up there Blush

Quite. Also, you risk infection. Good luck with your pregnancy.
