Pregnancy Exhaustion

Anyone else suffering from pregnancy exhaustion? I'm 6/7 weeks and never felt this tired in my entire life and that's saying something!! Any tips for coping? No amount of sleep seems to help.

Just wanted to say I can empathise. Still exhausted at 25 weeks here, sorry. Am sleeping so so much, for all the good it is doing. :-)

Yes, I'm 5 wks + and feeling tired and sick. Just kicking in yest/today. I think that rest, eating what you can and staying hydrated helps. It's an uphill struggle for me today. Not sure how I'll cope with work all week. Accept help with the children if you have any Smile

Haha well at least now I'm prepared for the fact that it may be here to stay for a long while. I'm sure my other half thinks I'm exaggerating but I've never known anything like it :-/

The only good thing is Anna that I think that the extreme hormonal related exhaustion eases after the first trimester (in my experience anyway!). Then it's not so bad :)

Rosieliveson · 17/03/2015 16:05

I'm the same. 6+5 and incredibly tired. I also have an 18 month old and no one around to help when DH is at work.
I go to bed really early and try to nap while the little one naps but that isn't always possible. The good news is that at about 12 weeks the placenta kicks in so the energy zapping lessens. For a few months at least!
Congratulations on your pregnancy Smile

Well. Me. 6+3. Typing this lying on the floor of my office dreaming about a cold glass of water. But that involves getting up. Can't. Do. It. Oh god, what exhaustion.

Mamabear14 · 17/03/2015 16:56

I'm 21 weeks and still need a daily nap or I'm a mess by 8pm. And even with a nap I struggle for the motivation to do much. Hopefully yours will ease soon!

Acer77 · 17/03/2015 17:01

Same at 6+4!
Doing same as Gem and getting early night and trying to spend weekends catching up on even more sleep!

Ladies, for a light at the end of the tunnel story, I am 10+1 and feeling a lot better, still getting nausea but not so often, and I sometimes manage to make it to grown up bedtimes now. Hang in there, it is shit but it gets better. Eat very often, drink plenty and take all the help you can get, it will pass Flowers

Whatabout · 17/03/2015 19:18

14+3 and the tiredness is easing nicely. Still throwing up though.. The tiredness is a killer and is so hard to convey to people.

quesadillas · 17/03/2015 19:33

10 weeks here and absolutely exhausted. I don't remember when it ended last pregnancy. I need a nap every day, but unfortunately don't get one. Every evening is just spent falling asleep wherever I happen to be. I'm getting really fed up!

hestialou · 17/03/2015 20:03

13,5 still exhausted, since got morning sickness..

thesmallbear · 17/03/2015 20:20

I was like this at the beginning. It does get better. Hold on in there!

Anna2710 · 17/03/2015 21:57

Thanks everyone. In bed now and feel the most awake and energetic I've felt all day!!! Argh...typical!

I'm shattered but also struggling to sleep at night, so frustrating.
Can't really nap in the day due to work but I chill as much as possible once I'm home.
