any one out there in insomnia land with similar experience-

am just about to pack in all idea of sleep & go to 24hr asda to get weekly shop out of way, as little b**er won't let me sleep!

Oh dear, I hope you can catch up later on sleep dimcat

I remember some large movements but it all got a bit cramped near the end I think

maybe your baby is getting into the best possible position? Do you feel like something could happen soon.....?

When is your next check up - don't want to worry you but my youngest did this a few weeks towards the end and it turned out he had turned into the breech position - they did manage to turn him around again though before he was born. Maybe get a midwife to check next week what position the baby is in?

Dimcat, I feel for you. I was only saying to my DH last night how these movements seem to be a hell of alot more painful than I remember at this stage with DD (I am nearly 37 weeks).

At my last apt. baby was 3/5 engaged, am hoping now he/she hasn't moved

DarkAlleyBongo · 28/10/2006 08:24

my dd was nearly 9lb and i'm only 5"3 so was a bit like this. she did turn at 37 weeks as she was breech. It used to knock the air out of me! Try and have a nice bath, the typical midwifes cure for all

My dd was transverse, and turned at 36 weeks - in the middle of the night - I remember it vividly! Its rough not being able to sleep when you know you need to, hope at least ASDA felt productive and you got some kip afterwards (maybe a drive in the car put LO to sleep, just like it can do once out?!).

Hi Dimcat, I'm 36 weeks with 3rd child and I know how you feel. I actually think I'm having an octopus not a baby!!!!
I'm glad to know I'm not the only one out there.
