I'm 7+1 and have no appetite yet am constantly starving. The thought of most food makes me feel sick, and when I do manage to find something palatable I can't eat very much. I haven't gained any weight and the only things I want to eat are junk food. I would love to eat all day but I just can't.

Anyone experienced this and have tips on how to manage? DH is worried about me Blush

Don't worry about weight gain, the baby will take what it needs.

If you're craving junk, for now, eat it. In moderation! Sometimes eating a little bit of what you fancy will help you get your appetite back.

Failing that- complan milkshakes?

I'm overdue and struggled to eat all pregnancy. from bad morning sickness to just losing appetite and food tasting bland its been hard. I've only managed the last 2 weeks to up my intake but still limited to ginger cake, melon, baby spinach and drinking milk. I've not put on much weight but baby probably going to be my biggest and my other 5 were all between 7.7 and 7.13lb. try not to worry, your appetite might come back x

I went off a lot of things I used to love in the early days. Sparkling water helped me overcome some of the nausea and get some food down. For now, eat what you fancy. I really wanted bland foods, carbs and fruit. Your appetite should start to come back soon xx

Give in the junk food, at least until your appetite is back. For a few days I really wanted McDonalds, I'm really into chips at the moment too. My MW said as long as I'm eating, don't worry too much about what it is, as long as you're not eating McD's for breakfast, dinner and tea!! As pp have said, if you can stomach it, eat it.

Thanks for the advice ladies. I've managed chicken with a bland starch like french fries or pasta. Grapes and oranges are also good. I spoke to my Mom about it and she said she had the same with us, no actual vomiting or sickness but nausea and loss of interest in food.

I just hope the little one is getting the nutrients he/she needs, that's my main concern!
