Have been up most of the night vomiting with what I assume is food poisoning
At only 8 weeks pregnant does this pose any risks to my baby?

Try and stay hydrated. If you start to show signs of dehydration then seek medical advice. Many women suffer from severe morning sickness for many months and their babies are just fine. Hope you feel better soon!

I had food poisoning when I was pregnant with dd2 (although I was further on). I went to gp who sent me to the maternity ward and I ended up staying in for 2 nights on s drip as was dehydrated.

I had one at around same time. This may sound tough but try to drink a couple of full glasses of water so that you can throw up the water and thus get the leftovers of the bad food out of your system. It is bloody tough but worth it. Then switch to sipping tiny portions (20-30 ml) every 20 minutes or so to stay hydrated.

Baby should be fine (I'm 19 weeks now and all is good). I started vomiting at around midnight and stopped at 6-7 am. Was in bed the whole day as I was exhausted. Ate only small pieces of dry toast once for hungry. The following day I was back to normal.

Thabks for replies
Couldn't keep water down earlier but have worked on basis that inspire of caffeine the benefits of a full fat coke would help, and it's stayed but so that's a start!
Have first mw appt on Tuesday and will mention it then,
I realise morning sickness is common it was the big/ poison element which worried me (that and in not sure what caused it)
Thanks
