Congrats dottiemad!
Got the sore boobs and tiredness, can cope with that but hate, hate, hate feeling sick. It's my Achilles heel! Had a bit of dry retching this morning too, lovely! If this continues think I'll be losing weight in the first trimester (but read that's perfectly normal)
Good luck not telling anyone! Told my mum and sister first, was only going to tell them but the inlaws came to visit last weekend and as soon as they noticed I didn't have my usual bucket of wine they guessed! I'm also a terrible liar!

The lack of wine is going to be my giveaway too!

I'm now 6 weeks and I started to feel sick this morning, actually the only thing to stop me feeling sick is to keep eating.

We told our families yesterday that we're having a baby, I could never have waited for my 12 scan, plus I have a family hen do in April and they would have guest by me not drinking! Everyone was really pleased and excited and my mum said it was the best mothers day present. It dose make it seem a bit more real.

Has anyone else told their families?

I'm not going to be able to wait until a 12 weeks scan either...my plan was to hand them an envelope with the scan in and say a little present for you both (my mum and dad) but I can't wait!

Plan is they are visiting this weekend so I will give my mum her belated card and small pressie and tell them they have another present for us but they'll hae to wait 7 months to get it!

We're not planning on telling OH family for a while though as OH youngest son is doing his GCSEs this year so want to wait until after his exams to tell him in case he doesn't take it well. I'm sure he will be great about it but we don't want to risk his exam results :-)

x

Hi everyone,

Congratulations to you all... is it ok to join in?

I just wanted some advice really, I'll be 12 weeks on Saturday and have my first midwife appointment this Thursday, we have our scan next week too, i'm so anxious as this is my first pregnancy and i have had near to no symptoms apart from sore boobs now and again, I actually feel completely normal, no sickness, no tiredness, no needing the loo every 5 mins.

I would never normally wish to be sick but I feel I need more signs that i'm still pregnant. Anyone else feel the same? Confused

dottiemad · 17/03/2015 13:09

I'm only 6 weeks so there's still time for more symptoms but at the moment I just have the occasional cramp and sore boobs, I also feel unusually bloated....got another pregnancy test to do before I book in with the midwife just so it feels as though I'm not making it up! Exciting for you Sophie! It will all become real when you see the scan I'm sure :-)

SophieLegg · 17/03/2015 13:29

I've been bloated all the time too but that has settled down a bit over the last week.

Yes, roll on next week, hopefully i'm just really lucky, my sister in law has really bad morning sickness and had to be admitted to hospital so I guess i'm just comparing myself to her but in reality everyone is different. I'll feel better once i've had the scan, still can't help but worry though. :-)

After complaining of having no real symptoms, i'm not feeling sick pretty much all the time, i haven't actually been sick which i guess is good. I also have gone off food, although i have to trouble eating rubbish which is the only time i stop feeling sick and then it starts again not long after finishing. Sad

Just found out I am pregnant with our first 3 days ago and so am at 4w 3 days now. I'm very tired and am having twinges regularly in my uterus but that's about it at the moment! Oh and hungry, oh god I'm hungry although that isn't half as bad today as it was yesterday. No sickness yet but its still early for that so I probably have that to look forward to - yay!

Its all very exciting! I'm really quite calm about it all now although I panicked like mad the first day thinking I was going to miscarry if I so much as moved. It was ruining it all for me though so I decided to stop thinking like that and just celebrate that I can indeed get pregnant :) We were thinking we couldn't so this is very, very welcome :)

Hi everyone! We've just found out we're expecting our first, after a difficult time TTC because my husband has diabetes-related retrograde. I'm so excited- and more than a bit nervous about everything! I've got a doctors appointment next week to get in the system, I guess he'll tell me then how far along we are and when to get scans and stuff? TTC was so hard I never even looked at what happens next, because it felt like it would jinx the whole thing! Now I feel all : omg I'm pregnant!
