Anybody else feeling generally fine during the day but sick in the evenings, my partner and son have just had a takeaway tea and I couldn't even get involved Envy I'm only 6 weeks plus 1 day, I know there's not a lot I can do I just feel like a moan and I'm confused as to why I feel fine all day and then come 4pm my head is down the loo!?

I was an 8pm thrower-upper.

Couldn't go out in an evening as every night after 8pm I needed to be near a loo for a few hours.

At least it never interfered with my day at work...

I suppose that's one thing to be thank ful for is that I can go about my day and try and eat plenty knowing that I won't be able to later on in the evening. I feel so sorry for mums to be who are suffering with HG I don't know how they cope, hats off Flowers

'Morning' sickness is only called that because it most commonly occurs in the morning due to going all night without food and drink.

It's perfectly normal for it to strike at any time of the day. You might find that certain smells or foods will set it off.

If this becomes a pattern of being sick in the afternoon/evening then you may want to pre-empt the sickness by making sure you are drinking plenty of fluids and eating small and regular snacks in the evening. The very best way to combat MS is food and drink which is easier said than done i know.

Anyway. I hope you can stop praying to the porcelain god soon. Morning sickness sucks!

I was sick first thing in the morning like clockwork then felt somewhat better the rest of the day til early evening. Would only be sick if I didn't get food down me on time.

I generally found snacking on something at least every 2 hours kept it at bay. For me, fruit worked well but you'll find your own food.

I'm 6+2 with No 2 and feels like sickness is all day but worse from 4pm onwards - tiredness is a major trigger for me.

Hope yours goes soon!

Yep 6-16 weeks with DS and 6-12.4 weeks and counting at the moment - bleurgh. I'm in bed at 6.30 every night to try and keep my days food down, about 50:50 success rate. Hoping it eases before 16 weeks this time, starting to get genuinely depressed with it Sad

Tiredness and feeling hungry were my triggers for morning sickness, so evenings were ruined for me.

Thanks for the advice ladies. It is comforting to know we are not alone and nice to be able to sympathise with others. I feel so sorry for my family, poor sods can't even enjoy their tea without hearing me wretching til the cows come home! All worth it though, I suppose it's the small price some of us pay for our lovely little bundles Flowers

I'm not sure if anybody has tried them or not but I've just ordered some preggie pops from Amazon as they are doctor recommended and are meant to ease the nausea and sickness, fairly cheap aswell, will let people know how I get on with them :)

Both of my pregnancies had me feeling rubbish between about 5:30-7:30pm. I always put it down to a surge in hormones at that particular point of the day - I was always was a bit of a night owl!

Cornberry · 05/03/2015 21:20

Don't know if this is helpful but I'm sick all day and then really sick at night. I'm desperate to be well enough to go to work. I'd be over the moon to just be sick in the evening :)

MorgansMummy24 · 06/03/2015 09:37

When you are sick all through the night it can be a struggle working through the day though Sad
