Kicking low down

Hello, I am 30w with my first baby. Over the last week or so I have noticed that the pattern of movements has changed; they have always been in the upper RHS of my tummy and are now very low down in my pelvis. I can feel my bladder and cervix being prodded a lot of the time. I think I can feel the head in the top left of my tummy so guess the feeling is feet moving around down there. The thing is, the baby doesn't seem to be moving at all anywhere other than down in my pelvis. Lots of strong kicks so I wouldn't say reduced movements, just different. I do have an anterior placenta so wonder if that makes a difference. I tried calling the mw (more for reassurance really) but they say they take 48h to get back to you. Wondered if anyone else had had this at this stage and if it's normal only to feel movements very low. I am stupidly worried that the baby is somehow stuck! Thank you :)

I'm not at all an expert but I think that's fine, you're getting good strong kicks and the feet are the strongest limbs so it makes sense that they're the ones giving you the pounding. The anterior placenta is bound to be cushioning a lot of the higher ones so I really think everything is okay Smile

From what I can see on my four weekly scans, the majority of movements I feel are related to feet not anything else so if I get low down (and dirty) movements it us related to one of them being feet first ie breach. If I'm getting movements around my ribs it is because they are doing head stands. Sounds like your lo has turned themselves around and is dancing on your bladder. I'm lucky in that the regular scans mean I can see where they are and relate that to the movement. I did ask whether the lower one was too low as some of the kicks are very low but the sonographer wasn't bothered.

Hello - I have the same and my baby is breech. Legs right down in pelvis. If you wait a bit longer you will feel the odd shoulder up higher. Also you might feel hiccups higher too. Worry ye not (well, until you find yourself trying to give birth to a breech baby!)

Hehe thanks bingo! I will try to worry not until 39w or so! Good luck with yours xx
