Terrible Morning sickness/ ingestion

I'm 8 weeks pregnant and suffering from bad "morning sickness" more like all day feeling sick and vomiting 8-10 times a day. This started at week 7. I also feel like I have ingestion all day which is making me feel nauseated.
During my first pregnAncy I was vomiting from 8 weeks until 10/11 weeks. Although it was bad it was bearable and managed to get on with daily activities as when I was not vomitting I felt ok.
I have struggled to leave the house this time as I feel dizzy and sick when keeping busy.
I am unsure what will help( I have tried sickness bands, eating little often ect)
Any advise would be helpful? Unsure why this one has been a lot more difficult ? Twins. I am a twin myself. Thanks x

Go to your doctor and explain how much you are sick and how it's affecting you.

for some reason I always seem to minimise my symptoms when I see a doc. I'm suffering from some nasty ms right now and I've been very blunt with my midwife in telling her exactly how bad I feel. She gave me drugs immediately. Unfortunately they don't work for me but they may for you, so ring them and make an apt.

There's a very supportive hyperemesis thread on here as well. Lovely ladies and it's been a real comfort to me.

Thanks, I am just back from the GP but I was barley in 2 minutes and I got that this is normal and try Peptac. She was reluctant to give me anything! I feel like every time im at the gp they don't have time for you and just hurry you out the door.
I explained that I didn't have this problem last pregnancy, could barley get a word in.
Il give the Peptac a go, hopefully may help. I felt they should do checks BP ect as I have been very dizzy when I'm out the house.

I always feel reluctant to go back to GP and muddle through x

Thanks. Iam just back from GP was literally in 2 minutes and got told that it was normal part of pregnancy and to eat little often to stop sickness( of course I know)
I did get given Peptac and was told I can't get any anti emetics until I have tried the Peptac.
I am happy to give Peptac a go but just felt like I should have been assessed , I feel very dizzy when out. My BP wasn't checked or any bloods ect.
I feel like gps are in too much of a hurry I couldn't even explain it to her as she never gave me the chance x

That's awful, I'm a GP and suffering from MS at the moment, they should have at least dipped your urine or given you an anti sickness pill to try! Go back tomorrow with a urine sample and tell them this isn't normal and can you try an antiemetic. My GP is fantastic, but was very unimpressed with one from out of hours the other week. I'm 13 woks and still vomiting but twins!

I can totally empathise; I spent the first 13 weeks of my pregnancy being sick/feeling sick/being totally exhausted. It was as though the life was being sucked out of me (sorry if that sounds too dramatic!). I also had chronic heartburn which was really unpleasant and put me off eating. Things I found helpful were:

Rennies orange- ok for pregnant women to take. These were/still are my lifesaver ( I'm 35+5)

Nibbling on almonds-either in their husk or removed. I found that if my tummy was remotely hungry that I was sick/would have terrible heartburn

Yoghurt- gave such a nice cooling sensation to my tummy. I used Yeo valley or Rachel's organic

Sipping on black currant squash

Spinach and red meats- think I may have been craving iron

Tomatoes and mozzarella cheese

Ice cold water

Eating what I fancied at the time (most of which was junk!) rather than what I felt I should be eating.

Out of interest, are you taking any pregnancy supplements? I found they (pregnacare) made me feel so much rougher so I just stuck with folic acid &vitamin D which calmed things down somewhat.

Good luck and I hope this challenging period passes really quickly for you.

Thanks butterflycats, yeah ur right maybe should go with a urine sample. Il see how Peptac goes but if it doesn't help il be going back for a pill to try. I just don't want to become dehydrated trying to get at least a litre a day but this is difficult.
Also thanks choc ness on all ur advice Im taking the pregnancy care supplements however missed a few days due to vomiting. I've been eating what I feel really, mainly steak from steak pie seems to help and some soup. X

I always pipe up with this but when pregnant and very sick (all day every day for 5 months then most days for the next 4) I found lemonade really helped. Sipping it slowly was so much easier to take than water. Hope you feel better soon.
