Hi I'm 6 weeks pregnant and I don't have a clue. I called the gp and have an appointment on 17th of march which means I'll be 8-9 weeks by then is that right? What happens next? Im so worried but I haven't told anyone except DH. When do I tell work
I just can't shut off my mind x

Breathe Smile

It will be fine.

Congratulations.

There's nothing to do now particularly except stop drinking/smoking if you do and be a bit careful about eating certain things. The nhs website will tell you the latest guidance. Don't stress too much though about eggs etc.

Get some pregnacare vits or at least some folic acid and take them.

You don't have to officially tell work for weeks if you don't want to. I think 25 weeks or so is the limit but you can check your maternity policy. You should be able to tell your HR department in confidence as they should do a risk assessment.

Sorry one other thing. The next appontment is your booking appointment. They'll take blood, run through tour medical history etc. Talk to you about your birth options etc.

The weeks leading up to your first scan can be nerve wracking, I was on Google every 2 mins.

Just relax and prepare yourself for the wave of sickness and tiredness that will probably hit you in about 2 weeks Wink.

I have been feeling sick and a lot of dry heaving. Not sleeping properly too but never actually being sick. I don't think it will really sink in until I see a doc or MW. So guess I'll do the waiting game Smile

I bought a pregnancy book with lots of info, and which also tells you how your little one is developing and changing every week. It helped me understand what's going on in my body.

Unfortunately it will feel like forever until your first scan...

Just enjoy the fact that your body is doing something amazing! Healthy diet (most of the time!), exercise (when you're not on your knees with tiredness) and other than that, business as usual. Congratulations Flowers
