Twin positioning for birth

Slightly random question but how do they know if one twin is cephalic and the other is breech that the head down twin will enter birth canal first? I have an anterior placenta and both babies are equidistant from cervix. I'm still considering my options c-sec/ induction but need to make a decision pretty soon.

How many weeks are you?

I haven't had twins, but with singles if they cannot feel they tend to scan you.

ooh, don't know. Mine were definitely positioned in a leading twin and following twin configuration and I was double breech so no way were those puppies coming out vaginally. Do you have an apt with consultation to discuss the birth that you could ask at?

My twins flipped about and changed position until 32 weeks. It was the heavier twin that settled head down ready for birth. I'm not sure if this is a gravity thing or not.

The second twin settled in a breech position and I was induced at 36 weeks.

The method of birth wasn't decided until my consultant was happy that their positions were fixed.

I'm 33+4 my next consultants appointment is at 34+3 when I have to decide. Currently twin 2 is breach and has been for months and is the bigger of the two. Twin 1, the wiggler, is in a different position every two weeks when I'm scanned. I'm just concerned that I'm basing my decision on the presenting twin being twin 1 simply because she's the the one on the left (they work clockwise when multiples are equidistant) when her larger sister is pretty much sitting on my cervix.

I was told twin 1 is always the lower twin. I did wonder whether they would swap places but now we know twin 1 is a girl it is easy to see that no they don't as twin two definitely is a boy with his bum and tackle in the air! At today's 28 week scan, twin one is breach when last time she was cephalic but twin two has stayed cephalic. At my last scan they both looked to be face to face in my pelvis but today twin one was lower even though it was her feet that were in my pelvis. My midwife said that pretty much at 32 weeks they are in the positions they will be for birth and although it's not impossible for them to turn, in His experience they generally don't.

In your situation, id have to be led by the consultant because twin one is such a fidget and smaller and see what they suggest. Do you have a preference on birth at this moment?
