Anyone know the odds of success?

Got a bp on tuesday (af was due on monday), so will be 5 weeks on monday. Anyone know odds of success - e.g. if you get to five weeks success is x likely and 6 weeks success is x likely etc? Feel like I beat the odds to get pg but still an uphill struggle right?

spacefem.com/pregnant/mc.php?m=01&d=08&y=2015, you need to alter the dates but think this is what you wanted?

That chart is quite amazing. Wonder if it is true

I googled the hell out of this subject after a miscarriage at 10 weeks in my previous pregnancy, and the chart seemed about in line with what I could find elsewhere. It makes a lot more sense than the idea of 12 weeks as some kind of magical crossover that they seem to talk about in the NHS.

Interesting chart, but I read in quite a lot of places that e.g. if you have a strong heartbeat at a 6 week scan, your odds do miscarrying are less than 3%. So it might be even better than the chart suggests!

I bought a huge book about pregnancy to try to stop me googling ....

According to the book, there is a 25% of miscarriage between wks. 5 - 7. After wk 12 it is less than 1%.

I have been in a state on anxiety the whole time, convinced something would have or will go wrong. 17wks today and was lucky to have an extra scan yesterday when i saw the consultant. I cried to see the baby still there!

Agh, scary stuff! Not five weeks here yet so so early still.

Does anybody know what the relative proportion of 'missed' miscarriages vs. the obvious sort is? are mmc relatively rare?

sianihedgehog · 22/02/2015 18:22

I found the stats here really reassuring - most of them seem to ignore anything like how the rates change when there is bleeding or when you hear a heartbeat. I've still got it bookmarked because after losing one pregnancy, and having bleeding in this one, I referred to it about three times a day until my 12 week scan!! www.baby2see.com/medical/miscarriage.html
