Just that really! Starting to think about nursery furniture and wondered if you used one?

When its 3am and you need to feed the baby without being hunched up on the bed and being able to put your legs up you get over the ugliness Grin

They are quite dear but luckily we have been inundated with offers from family to buy the large stuff!

I like the white framed rocking chair ones so will find a good price for that as don't want to bankrupt DH man!

Never for feeding as I feed in bed. I guess if you bottle feed or struggle to feed lying down it could be really handy for feeding.

But I love mine it has been a saviour many times, the rocking really helps LO to sleep. Also was a bargain, £50 on eBay nearly new condition.

I never bought one but now I'm pregnant with DC2 I'm going to get an ikea poang for the night feeds.

eBay! Good idea, thanks.

I rarely fed in the chair as our babies are all long and just used to push off of the padded arm rest with their feet, popping them off the boob. However, I have slept in one while pregnant when I couldn't get comfy anywhere else. Also they are lovely for bedtime snuggles or stories. The best chairs I have used for feeding are old-fashioned nursing chairs. They tend to be quite low, the seat is wider at the edge and the back is quite high. No idea why they are so comfy but I've fed in a few over the years and love them.

Is a nursing chair a specific type of chair?

superram · 08/02/2015 20:23

Used an ikea Poang with footstool. Now in 5 year olds room for stories. Cheaper and more practical long term. I fed in bed for first 6 months when he was in with us.

Charity shops! I have a rocking chair that is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship. Was an absolute brilliant find. Bought before fell pregnant purely because I wanted it. Best charity shop find EVER!

Just needed a cushion!

I had one and loved it :-) was so comfortable ( I have a bad back) and with my daughter being quite a big baby (8lb 9oz) it was much easier to feed her while in the chair. Also nice to read books to her before putting her in her cot when she was older.

my mum lent me hers and it was brilliant, if you have space well worth it but you won't want to be shut away. keep it downstairs

Sleetsleetmoresleet · 08/02/2015 21:00

Someone insisted of lending one to me and I didn't really end up using it. Very overrated imo. I couldn't wait to return it as it was clocking up my nice living room. It's no thing of beauty and I already have a comfy bed and sofa.

I suggest you get thiswww.shawsdirect.com/product/ORTHOPAEDIC_V-PILLOW_1-Size/ and thism.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/art/60248418/
and convert any of your existing chairs into a comfy place to feed, plus save around 90 pounds!
