I've finally conceded defeat at the hands of SPD and taken sick leave from work.Sad
I'm only 27 weeks but it's been agony despite the pain killers, support belts, physio and every other remedy under the sun.
So I've gone from full time ward nursing to pottering round the house, and I'm worried that I'm going to lose my mind.

I can still manage the school run (other DCs are 8 and 10) and drive short distances, but walking is so painful, so I can't get out and about like I normally would on my days off. My mum is coming round once/twice a week to help and is very involved with the kids anyway but I can't lift a washing basket and it takes a long time to get up the stairs.Blush The poor dog can't understand why DP is walking him every day when I'm home.
I wasn't planning on starting mat leave until 36 weeks, so now I have all this time whilst the kids are at school and I don't know what to do with myself.
Anyone got any ideas? Suggestions for new TV box sets or hobbies welcome! Pre-pregnancy I rode horses, cycled and walked miles, so I'm not used to sitting for so long, it's so frustrating!!!

I was coming on to suggest the West Wing - DS has just turned 7 months and I'm on series 7 Smile

I had spd too and did loads of organising photos, paperwork etc, took a million baths, read loads, napped in the day which was amazing and generally did minimal pottering. I also batch cooked (did all the prep sitting at the kitchen table) and defrosted the freezer sitting down! Nesting with spd is tricky, you have my sympathies.

I finished 9 weeks before because of SPD. You have my sympathies as it is agonising :(

I did a cross stitch sampler, Winnie a The Pooh, which you could also add baby's details to. still haven't finished that bit and DD is almost 7 , but it kept me busy and is a lovely keepsake for your child to keep forever.

Apart from that, I watched a lot of films and did a lot of crosswords and a lot of Internet! Bounty at the time

Sewing is a good idea, can watch Tele at same time. I was off sick yesterday and made an owl doorstop. You could make lots of cute things for baby's room Smile

Right iv found loads of knitting/ sewing/ crafty bits that have been hidden in the cupboard for god knows how long so iv got an elephant embroidery kit to start with.
Mums been round and helped me move the bedroom round so I can get to things easily.
Now to sit and chill on the sofa, and dp has found out loads of films for me to watch :-)

Get into some computer games. My DH can spend hours on his Xbox.

Pinterest and YouTube are your friends. I could lose hours and hours and hours on those.
