Probably a daft question, but are these milkshkes safe during pregnancy, does anyone know please?
I know you shouldn't have "Mr Whippy" ice-cream and not sure if the milkshakes are made up of this or not.Dh is just about to pop to the drive thru.
TIA.

.I have also heard they have chicken fat and other disgusting things in them...but they do taste nice.

I also thought shop bought coleslaw was fine!

uh-oh... Well I guess I won't have any more then. (I decided that the milk would be good for the baby)

FWIW, I don't like most things on the 'not allowed' list (pate, blue cheese, etc...) but I do eat peanut butter and other nuts most days. I did this with DD too and it was ok. I just think that without peanut butter I would manage to ingest even less protein than I am now. Hmmm.

Right, just to clear up the issue on "coleslaw" and other such like dairy products. All are fine as long as they are pasturised. If they aren't of you can't see if they are or not then don't have..!!

If you fancy an egg and mayo buttie, fine BUT as long as the mayo is pasturised. Usually the likes of Tesco, Asda, well known bakeries all use pasturised stuff in their butties BUT your little local bakeries may use home made mayo iykwim.

Well thats what I have been led to believe anyway.

Mc'd's milkshakes taste yum but that list of ingredients............??? Muck...!!!

Thanks for clearing that up. I thought it was fine as long it was pasturised which is what most shop stuff is. Just getting paranoid as had completely forgotten about loads of stuff you can't eat lots of like tuna!

I had a MuckDonalds the other day, I always take the kids to the golden arches after my parent governer meetings (like once every 2 months or so) because it is late and we would otherwise be stuck in traffic and it is a treat for them.

I don't think consuming crappy foods once in a while is that terrible if you usually eat well.

WCL-It was more so the issue of whether their milkshakes were classed as "safe" to eat whilst pg.I also agree that eating crappy foods once in a while is fine, but I know there's a whole list of foods which could be potentially harmfull whne pg,so I was just checking with the power of mumsnet.
