Travel system for mini one convertible '04 plate

Hi everyone,

I have a mini one convertible and the boot space is tiny! Anyone have any ideas on a decent travel system for a new born (due in April) that will fit my car? I already have the longest list ever of things to sort before baby arrives, and don't really want to add selling a buying a new car to the list!!

Help! X

I have an even smaller boot (Suzuki splash) and happily get the maxi cosi streety plus and foldable carrycot in it. Car seat clonks on too- not the prettiest travel system but lovely and easy and tiny! Also looked at the oyster gem- I was adamant on having a carrycot, if you don't need one look at the zapp xtra2 :-) good luck!

Bugaboo Bee (which I have and love and turns into an excellent pushchair for a toddler).
Mamas and Papas Flip
ICandy Raspberry
Baby zen yoyo

Go and play!

Sod the travel system. Use a sling when you're out in the car and get a cheaper pram for on-foot journeys only. Half the price and fifty times the functionality.

I crammed a Mamas and Papas Sola travel system into our '04 Mini after DS1 was born and it was a PITA. Component parts had to be crammed in everywhere, such that, in the event of an accident, there would have been bits flying about everywhere. We've since upgraded the cars to Countrymen but we haven't taken the pram in the car once and the car seat just stays permanently in the car as I take the sling in the changing bag for DS2 and DS1 walks. SO much easier - I wish I'd done it from the get-go with DS1 instead of rearranging the whole car every time we went out.

I have a Citroen c2 tiny boot!! I got my britax affinity today an tested it in the boot and stands up nicely I don't use my shelf in boot though as it broke ages ago! I can get few bags of shopping next to it buy then look of things :) maybe have a look at the way the affinity folds x

I have a panda so awfully wee boot. But my wee car is fully paid off and I'm loathe to sell it "to fit a pram in". As has been suggested by crazy in-laws. I ain't made of money like they seem to think I am

Following this with interest.

I've looked at the flip only so far and it's very compact/easy to fold etc but defo need to look at a few more.

As soon as I have been pram shopping this week, I shall report back!! X
