Hi Ladies this is going to be a long post !
With ds 1 was poly and had pain so had a dopler showed nothing he was born a few days early with a half dead placenta !
Ds 2 only measuring slightly big 1-2 cm for dates begged them for scan and the fluid levels were massive couldnt plot them on chart and were on about draining fluid .
Now 36 weeks with ds 3 . I have a personal growth chart , always measured 5-6 cm larger and due to past history naagged for scan but constantly told no . Went to consultant clinic monday 1st thing obstetric dr asked why I hadnt had any extra scans ! So I had an urgent one on wed . My mil came with me .
The results were Polyhydramnios which I knew and Problem with Umbilical blood flow ! So I have been freaking out . I am being closly monitored having extra scans . And have been told if I dont feel ds moving go straight in . I have an anterior placenta too so that doesnt help ! I asked the obstetric dr about his movements as usually 1-2 days a week he doesnt move much . I ve told my midwife this but didnt seem concerned . The dr said it was NOT normal at all and I should be getting checked more !
We saw my normal midwife that tea time and she couldnt really answer our questions!
:-(

Bypass your midwife and ring day unit direct every time you worry about movement ... and not just no movement but any small change in pattern ... you have enough to cope with without stress and your little one is more effected by your mood than in a normal pregnancy! I lost my son because of a lack of concern and being made to feel like I was being neurotic... your instincts have saved your baby previously so listen and act immediately ... wishing you all the best x

Hi Blackwidow sorry to hear of your loss :-( .
Thanks he is having a quiet day so far so will ring the unit and go get checked .
Its soo stressful I just want him here now , but we have to wait for scan results on wed , were going on a scan by scan plan .
We were really disapointed by my midwifes lack of knowledge . My oh couldnt make the scan so came along to the midwife app and she didnt know anything about the dopplers and the cord !
Thanks you xx

It surprised me how little is known about cord complications and placenta faults ... I find myself having to explain what hypercoiling and such is to every new face I deal with ... even my consultant knows so little he had to look it up when he received a copy of my son's post mortem to go in my notes this time around ... fills you with confierce huh ... not!!
Definitely call them and get checked out ... If it were me in your situation and felt I was being left to cope I would go in every couple days :) they can't refuse to monitor you and you have every chance of keeping your precious cargo safe with early warnings :) be a pain ... its our perogative as hormone fuelled mums x
