So I'm 39 weeks pregnant, having real difficulty sleeping for the last week, I'm just wide awake. Bump is getting uncomfortable to manoeuvre in bed. I thought I'd escaped stretch marks but now have them and they are itching like mad! I just want baby out now. Feel guilty for feeling like that as pregnancy otherwise has been enjoyable. And getting annoyed with the daily, sometimes hourly texts if I don't reply straight away asking whether I'm in labour! God I sound like a spoilt brat not a mum to be! Grrrr

Don't feel guilty - most mums feel like you at this stage.

Try to relax. Actively concentrate on relaxing - focus on the sensation of your breathing while you sit as comfortably as you can manage. Have a good diet and a short walk every day.

Hope your baby comes soon. Smile

You just feel like you've had enough of being pregnant don't you? The novelty has well and truly worn off and you don't get any time off from being pregnant.

And if anyone tells you to enjoy it as you won't have any time to yourself ever again after you've had the baby, blah, blah blah just smack 'em in the chops and blame it on your hormones. Grin

And feel free to not even listen to anyone who tells you the story of their delivery.

Chocoluva you've got me to a 't'! Lol haha I will remember that! I've spent the afternoon with a friend and her 9 month old and been told how amazing labour is, how I will love it and that they want to visit me and baby before it is a week old!!!
In bed now as too uncomfortable for the sofa, I will def enjoy it more when baby is here Smile

I'm 36+5 and feeling quite similar.
I feel guilty for complaining when there are many women who would give anything to be in this position Hmm
I'm sure we'll have forgotten about this when its all over x

MrsN - that's exactly how I feel, seems selfish to moan. Felling a bit more positive today, yes is will be a distant memory soon when baby is here and we are surrounded in nappies and sick!! X

Haha wee lamb - she def is mad, said person also ended up in theatre! Don't know if she was trying to make me feel better or thinks I'm silly, finding it all a bit much though as she already has plans for my baby to be her little boys girlfriend or drinking buddy depending in gender! Lol god now I sound like a bit**! Xx
