When to tell work/hand in notice?

I'm 11+3wks, I'm a nanny to a small 21month old boy who's very active.
I'm in 2 mind when to tell them & hand in my notice. I was told when I joined working for them in 2013 I would need to give them 1month notice if I intend to leave.

But as its our first, & their son is very active (occasionally kicks when changing nappy) I know all kids must do this. I'm scared something could happen to the baby. So hubby was suggesting I should give in my notice tomorrow & leave (in 1month) as he doesn't want any risks as its taken us 4.5yrs to finally conceive.

Any suggestions pls??

It is really up to you, have you thought about maternity pay though and what you can get or not get if you leave?
If money is not a issue they you can leave you have tried for a very long time.
Me personally I would stay on a little longer I pretty much bang my bump all the time, I worked in a castle very physical job and was fine, if you have managed to cope up to now you are doing well as the first 12 weeks I felt terrible!
Felt good and had energy after 12 weeks only now at 28 weeks I am starting to struggle!
What would you do with your time if you leave so early?
I was made redundant in November and people see bump and I'm a big no no to give a job to currently board out of my mind! Even got told I was a health and safety hazard!
But no one other then your self can decide what is right for you. Good luck :)

The chance of something going wrong because you look after a 21 month old is very small, else nobody would manage to have more than one child!

I'm planning on taking early maternity leave due to safety risks at work. I'm a support worker for adults with learning disabilities, with challenging behaviour. I'm planning on using holidays april-may then starting maternity in May. I'm due july. My partner also offered me to leave work but financially I don't want to struggle and I will be bored as both my dds are at school full time. Baby is protected as is so small and many people have a toddler while pregnant so I don't think your at risk of being harmed but if you can afford too there's no harm being a lady of leisure.

I have a very wriggly 19mo and am 22 w pregnant, i think it would be extremely unlikely for his wriggling to cause damage to baby. Just try not to let him kick your belly too much!

Thank you all for your advise. To be honest financially we could do with the money. I'll hand in my notice so at least they can stating looking for someone as I would hate for them not to have enough to find someone suitable for there little one. I'll most probably work until at least end March. And if I feel I can go on I will. Good luck to you all xx
