I got mine from primark bit that was in the summer, I think mine were an 18 (I'm normally a 14) but I think they go up to a 22 or 24.

weeblueberry · 12/01/2015 16:40

Last pregnancy I got Mothercare nursing ones that were excellent. I was probably about a size 18 by the time I gave birth and had a medium and they went to a large which would probably fit. :)

weeblueberry · 12/01/2015 16:41

Am sure it was these

www.mothercare.com/Striped-Maternity-Nightdress/LE5234,default,pd.html - they look like they have buttons on the front but they're actually poppers. :)

skyra13 · 12/01/2015 16:46

I can probably stuff my bump into one of them :)
Might also have a look around primark at there nightdresses see if any got buttons an buy big!

I bought some from Peacocks, £6 and they button down to just below boob level.

MinnesotaNice · 12/01/2015 18:42

Primark here as well. They have some that button from top to bottom. I think they were only £6.

sleepybee · 12/01/2015 20:06

Bhs have lots of button down night dresses/shirts

teacupnic · 12/01/2015 20:09

I got one from Peacocks in a 22 that buttons down to under the boobs and a fully button down one from M and S. I'm in the process of decluttering right now and I didn't actually ended up wearing them, so if you PM me your address I should be able to sort them out for you and post them out. Might not be straightaway as DS is 6 months and a tad demanding.

daluze · 12/01/2015 20:14

I bought few cheap from Primark for labour, as was going to get rid of them afterwards. Didn't need for labour as was in hospital gown, but then used to sleep and breastfeed for the next 2 years! I got the ones that button down to the chest so you can get the breast out. Now going to get new ones (hope they still make them!) for no. 2.

You might not be too late to catch the marks and spencers sale. When I went at the weekend there were loads of nightdresses all in big sizes as I guess the smaller ones had sold out.

sleepybee · 12/01/2015 21:00

I got a maternity button down night dress in grey spot in M&S online sale think it went up to a 24

applecore0317 · 12/01/2015 21:02

Mothercare had some lovely ones reduced from twenty pounds to just six pounds, variety of sizes

skyra13 · 13/01/2015 07:51

Aww thanks you Teacupnic I shall send you a message :)

I will also check out primark, I don't get into town often but there isn't much on the mothercare website!

Everyone on my ward four years ago was rocking the same Primarni nightdresses.

rachyconks · 13/01/2015 07:55

I got button down flannel nightshirt type things. One from asda and one from tesco. Went up to a size 24 iirc. They were brill for labouring in and I still use them now for night feeding!

skyra13 · 13/01/2015 08:04

That is indeed what I plan on doing I shall keep an eye out when I go out :)
Thanks for your help ladies!

I got two half button down ones in Primark. £6 each

Tzibeleh · 13/01/2015 17:14

I found pjs better than nighties. More private, as I could just lift the top rather than unbutton down the front. More modest, as my legs were always covered (nighties slways ride up) and I could sit cross-legged if I wanted. More convenient, as if my maternity pad leaked I could just change the pj bottoms.

A size or two bigger than pre-pregnancy was fine, and stretchy jersey rather than woven. Primark, M&Co, Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury, all good sources of cheap 'n' cheerful nightwear in 20+.
