Just wondering really. Had no morning sickness and easy pregnancy with DS. This time round morning sickness, food aversions, exhaustion and generally feeling shite. People keep saying ooh must be a girl then. Not that I am hoping or anything.... :D

Severe sickness ....aversion to smells ....lost weight.... sick daily all the way through with dd.

Lost ds at 17 weeks MMC but severe sickness and aversions all the way through even following birth for 2 weeks.

I thought it was more sickness with girls but experienced the same.

Hmm, seems everyones different. This pregnancy does seem so different makes me think its a girl but we will see.

Almost identical pregnancies - no sickness, a bit of heartburn but nothing else. Only difference was that DS (2nd DC) dropped at 32 weeks and everyone thought he would come early (no such luck, I just walked like I had a bowling ball between my legs for 2 months Hmm)
Both easy labours and both the same weight although DD was long and skinny and DS shorter and solid :)

Only1scoop so sorry for your lost, how awful Flowers

All of my pregnancies were equally ghastly.

I have 2 DS, pregnancies were polar opposite, so much so I would have put money on DS2 being a girl. Doesn't mean anything I'm afraid!

Only 25 weeks with ds.

dd
nausea till 12 weeks
calm relaxed
lots of weight on bum and thighs but small bump
spots on face during 1st half

ds
nausea till 18 weeks and much worse
very angry (particularly with men)
large bump but less weight gain on bum/thighs
spots on back

It could however be a 2nd dc difference as I don't have much time to rest this time.

I've got 2 of each, all were pretty much the same except that DS2 (the youngest) was 13 days late, the others were all early. Lazy bugger! Grin

DS i went off meat, but appetite picked up again.

DD apetite did not pick up again, have put no weight on, so struggling to eat enough now im bfing. Also felt much dizzier wks 20-25. And dd got hiccups which ds never did.

No difference except for me being 9 years older second time around.

DS - nausea lasted until 19 weeks. I was off meat, cravings for apples, didn't move much (but had low fluid whch wasn't detected until 36 weeks), no braxton hicks, pregnancy went well (on the outside) but labour was horrendous - rare reaction to induction, abruption, uterine tear, foetal distress etc.

29+5 with DD - horrendous pregnancy. Nausea 100x worse but lasted only til I was 14 weeks. No food cravings or food aversions, but my anxiety levels went through the roof, I have been very weepy, feeling worthless etc. Loads of braxton hicks, more pelvic gridle pain, baby moves so much I am sure she has adhd!!!! Growth scans showing she is a porker and plenty of fluid.

So in all, both pregnancies are TOTALLY different but whereas DS seemed 'easier' there were more problems and DD pregnancy is proving to be miserable but she is growing well and healthy.

Was a lot sicker with my boys compared to girl x

I have a DD and DS. Both pregnancies were the same, other than more tired with the second due to having an under 2yr old to look after rather than just myself. Very different births, but I think this is completely unrelated to gender.
