MW recommended get flu jab. I am sure I have heard it makes you ill for few days so am thinking how to time it!

My midwife told me that you should have it because your immunity is lower web you're pregnant, and she's known pregnant women catch flu, have to go to hospital and in some cases deliver their babies early. I've never had flu and don't tend to get ill, but it didn't seem worth not having it.

I didn't feel ill at all after my jab, not even a sore arm.

I was expecting to be pulled down by it and with a toddler and dealing with the belly I was quite miserable about having to have it - but aside from a sore arm was right as rain.

I had it when I was pregnant last year and felt awful that evening and overnight and then a bit faint the next day. Very odd. It was like a mild dose of the flu- achy and I couldn't move off the sofa.

My pregnancy has been cold after cold after cold. So when I had my flu jab I had a really bad cold a day or two after. Like everyone says it is just a coincidence!

I had a sore arm for 3 days, but otherwise nothing. My DH has had the most miserable cold/chest infection for weeks, and although I'm snotty, my lungs seem fine. I have no idea whether this is causation or correlation, but I'm still glad I had the jab!
