Big ones, ones that come higher up than where your scar is.

I borrowed big pants off DH. Only works if your DH wears big pants, obviously.

SherlockLGJ · 09/10/2006 20:52

A touch on the small side, but they might work

Gingerbear · 09/10/2006 20:54

mustcackleorsuckbloodmore · 09/10/2006 20:55

Hi there, I lived in Disposable panties(the big ones)from mothercare for about 4 weeks after birth. They wouldn't touch my cut which I liked. In fact I'm going to start stocking up REALLY SOON with 7 weeks to go.x

foxtrottingtotransylvania · 10/10/2006 14:46

BIG ONES. i think i wore my maternity ones, paper ones were too small.

DelGhoul · 10/10/2006 14:48

asda's do cheap knickers. I think they're £1.75 for 3? Perfectly fine for after and then you can bin them.

brimfull · 10/10/2006 14:48

after my emergency c section I asked dh to bring me some big knickers from home.He obviously grabbed the first thing he saw and brought me thongs, that I hadn't worn in years I might add.

merrily · 10/10/2006 14:48

100% cotton BIG knickers - ones that will go right up to your belly button!

I got cheapy ones from Tesco - I found a size 18 was plenty big enough (I'm usually size 14).

kslatts · 10/10/2006 15:50

I wore boxer shorts, but they are not the right shape for maternity towels.

daisydog · 16/10/2006 22:59

There's a great new product out called a c-belt...brilliant thing - had a pad that goes against your scar so you don't get rubbed - plus a cool gel pad or heat pad. Also has a protective insert to stop your baby kicking there when you're feeding. Means you don't have to worry too much about what underwear you wear. Have a look at www.mamatoto.co.uk (code 28046) you can use SW1ZZ200 to get free postage and packaging. Best of luck - hope all goes ok!

Highlander · 17/10/2006 12:05

I had my 2nd elec CS 2 weeks afo. Tesco full-size briefs. 65p (Oh, yeeeessss!!) for a pack of 2. Bin them whilst bleeding like a stuck pig in the first 24 hours .

Highlander · 17/10/2006 12:06

Your stitches are under the skin BTW.

I bet you £10 you'll not want to throw the big knicks out after a month.............

HuwEdwards · 17/10/2006 12:07

in answer to OP, big feckin apple-catchers
