Pregnancy

11 weeks pregnant but symptoms have vanished!

I'm 11 weeks pregnant with my first baby and have struggled grasp the concept since the start... The pregnancy was totally unplanned, a total shock as we were using protection. We found out at 6 weeks (which was 4 weeks before we were due to get married) and to begin with I was a state. That said, now my husband (of one week!) and I have grown accustomed to the idea, although we're daunted we are so excited to be having a son or daughter and have grown quite attached to him or her already :)

I have my dating scan next Thursday but I am so, so terrified that nothing is going to show up. To begin with I had terrible morning sickness, sore boobs and tiredness but my symptoms have all but vanished. I am not showing anything at all and I am worried that whole thing might never really have developed in the first place. I know it sounds ridiculous but it has actually been keeping me up at night, especially as we took the opportunity to tell a lot of our close friends and family from Holland at our wedding when I was 10 weeks.

Is it normal for symptoms to disappear suddenly before the end of the first trimester? I've not had any bleeding but haven't felt anything for over a week :( I've never wanted to feel sick so badly! I'm a massive worrier by nature, I suppose I just need some reassurance from people who have been there and know more than me!

Hi Sammy !!
I just landed on this page today. I am 11 weeks and suddenly since morning I don’t have a single symptom out of 100 symptoms I would feel all day or every morning. So was concerned and looking for some answers, hoping it’s normal.

Hi Emily. How did it go? Mine went great, the little one has a very strong heartbeat.
I asked my doctor about bleeding and he said it can be normal, especially if the pregnancy symptoms like nausea etc are still there.

I really hope everything went well for you 😇

11 weeks. Symptoms kind of disappeared 2 weeks ago and haven’t returned.

I literally cooked a full meal for the first time in 6 weeks tonight. It was quite a nice change to have the energy and not feel nauseous over anything other than plain yoghurt.

It’s definitely very reassuring to hear others experiences of this.

I was in a similar situation. I didn't have any symptoms and didn't "feel" pregnant in the last few weeks. I think went for my scan a few days ago wondering if there'd actually be anything there and there was! So don't worry about it. It's normal. Your placenta has likely taken over hence why tiredness and sickness go away.

Hey guys.

Guess I felt the need to revive this thread.

Today im 10 weeks 6 days. This is my first pregnancy and my symptoms have suddenly vanished completely even down to the hunger and need to eat or else I would feel nauseous. It’s as if though I’m back to my normal self, my energy has returned and all. Between weeks 5-8 I had lots of heartburn and gas and my stomach even swelled up a bit and I have a small bump. I had an early scan at about 7 weeks and 1 day and there was a baby with a heartbeat but of course now with the loss of symptoms it just makes me feel like this isn’t normal. This pregnancy was also unplanned so I guess I’ve been in denial from the beginning even after having my 7 week scan. I suffered from a miscarriage many years ago so I guess that also makes me feel a little uneasy. Obviously I’ve never experienced a full pregnancy so it’s so confusing to not know what to feel. I’ve read good and bad stories and I guess I’m just stuck in between. Have an 11 week scan in a couple of days so I guess I’m just venting till the day comes till I hear what my doctor has to say. Crossing my fingers until then! Prayers to all who are going through this as well!

@Aleaixo how did your scan go? I am 11 weeks and 1 day and my symptoms disappeared yesterday .. no nausea, breasts not as sore and no fatigue. My sense of smell is still quite sensitive. Have been having cramps for a couple of days but no bleeding 🙏🏽🙏🏽.

Hey future mama!

The scan went well! And I’ve had one other since! I was so nervous as a first time mom so I understand the concern, there are just so many thoughts that run through your head because you’re unsure of how to feel or what to expect. Well today I’m 22 weeks and I started feeling movement at week 18 and now the baby is rumbling and tumbling throughout my belly so it puts me at ease. I’ve learned to realize that symptoms have nothing to do with pregnancy so you’ll be fine! I still have the cramping as well and I’ve also come to understand that all it is is your uterus stretching. I feel great aside from the belly getting heavier but I have no other symptoms no vomiting nor Nausea just being thankful for an easier pregnancy than most. You’ll be completely fine! And once you start feeling them move around you’ll feel son much better! Just hold on and consider us the lucky ones! Much blessings to you and your future baby!
