Quiet (in utero) baby

Not quite sure what advice I'm looking for, but I'm 33 weeks with DC3, and I just don't feel as much movement as I did with my others. This is not a change, it has been a constant throughout this pregnancy.

I'm not sure whether to do anything about it, or whether, as long as it's not a change / reduction in movements, there is much else to be done? I did mention it to my consultant (who I'm not scheduled to see again now for 5 weeks) about a month ago, and he did a growth / placental blood flow scan (himself) and said that it all looked fine, and in his experience some babies just have quieter personalities.

Every day though I hit a point where I realise that I haven't felt anything for hours. Usually the baby is livelier in the evenings, and if (when I can find the time!) I have a cold drink and lie down I do always start to feel movement, but sometimes this can take 20 mins or so. I don't remember having any concerns over movements with my other DCs. I do have a (high enough - not sure how high, but definitely not low) anterior placenta, but I also had one with DC1 and still felt plenty of kicks and wriggles.

Any thoughts?

Just giving u a bump - I'm only on my first pregnancy so no advice or experience. Sounds like the consultant isn't worried so maybe you'll just have a baby who is great at settling down for naps Smile

Both my babies were completely different in utero. One slept through the entire 9 months. The other played football the whole time. Their personalities are similar now that they're teens, so I wouldn't worry.

I'm 36 weeks with dc2 and this baby's movements are completely different to ds's. Even dh has commented on it. Ds liked to roll around a lot and was always making my bump form odd shapes, but this baby likes to kick the top and sides of my bump and try and wedge feet under my ribs (or so it feels like!).

As long as there's no change in movements, it all sounds fine Smile
My DC2 was a quiet one (until she was born, at least Hmm), I used to get to the end of the day and suddenly think I hadn't felt her move, just as she would have a little wriggle Shock I had an active one year old to look after which I think made me less conscious of her movements too.
