ok this is wierd, and I'm not sure exactly how to describe it - but for most of today and some of yesterday I've had what I can only describe as a nearly constant dull 'ache' low down in my pelvis - sort of where my pubic bone is. (sort of where the 'widest' part of your pubic hair is sorry TMI ). It's not sore, and it's definitely not what I'd describe as cramping (that's what I get when my period is due and when AF is due I'm in agony!).

I know aches and mild cramping are 'normal' with pgs especially early on - but I don't remember anything like this with either of the DS's...

i had spd in my last pregnancy that began with a pain in my pubic bone - sadly, mine got pretty serious and i ended up in hospital for a while, and then in a brace and on crutches BUT it actually wasnt too awful and went once my dd was born (didnt get it with my 2 boys!!!)

just check with your m/w if it becomes more of a pain than a dull ache, as theres lots you can do to ease it (simple stuff like how you get out of bed etc!)

good luck, and hope its just a niggle and nothing more serious
peace and love

This pregnancy started off with a low ache but it didn't last very long.

Hi there. I'm 6 weeks now and have been having aches that sounds very similar to yours for about a fortnight now. I mentioned it to my GP (as I didn't experienced this in either of my previous pregnancies) and he assured me that it was completely normal and caused by the uterus having to expand at a relatively fast rate in the early stages of pregnancy. I had read about that on here and so felt reassured. However, it's now getting slightly more painful and seems to come from one side of my body. It's also particularly painful when I try to wee (so much so that I have to wee in stops and starts). I'm going back to my GP this morning for another reason but plan to mention this while I'm there. If he gives me any top tips, I'll be sure to pass them on!

Eeek - just got back from my doctor's appointment and I don't think I'm going to be able to pass on any top tips after all! Turns out I have a water infection and that this has been making all my early pregnancy symptoms (sickness, nausea, dizziness, cramping etc) worse than they would usually be. So I can't really pass on any useful advice I'm afraid, HRH. However, if your cramping pains become more painful when you try to pass water, it might be worth going to see your GP. Sorry I can't be more helpful!
